One day i set out to take my car for a spin, and soon as i got off of the snow covered roads i notice that my car was shaking terribly(it wasn't from a build up of snow either)... The shaking changed as my speed changed so i immediatly thought that it was my transfer case(felt like all 4 wheels were gonna fall off)... I took it to a rent a bay garage and lifted it... I checked the transfer case lube and drained it, there was enough fluid so i figured i'd change it because its been 2 years since i did it last(maybe the oil lost its viscosity).. As the car was in the air i noticed that my front drivers side axle was not all of the way in to the extension shaft(bearing seal was off as well)... I tried to push it back in, but couldn't, i used a pry bar to push it back in... now when i drove the car it drove fine for about 10 blocks and then the shaking came back.. my problem is I don't think that 1 axle could give off such a shake that goes through the whole car... I know that when cv joints r gone the have a clicking sound when turning, but i have no clicking sound.. Has any one had problems with drive axles that pull out by themselves or go bad with out having any sounds.
