Hey guys, anybody know what the law is in Alberta about window tinting? My R/T is from Texas and has fairly dark tinted driver and passenger windows which I suspect are gonna get me a pullover visit someday.

There is no tint allowed on the driver or passender side windows, or below the marked line on the windshield.
They do permit tint on the passenger and drivers side windows, however it must not come within 5-6" of the top if the window or down the a-pillar.. but in my opinion that looks gay..
My drivers and passenger windows have tint on them but it's hardly there.. perhaps only 3-5% tint and I have never been pulled over for it.
If I were you I wouldn't worry about removing it. My windows on my car are 15% and I've never been pulled over for it. In fact, come to think of it i've never been questioned about them even when I have been pulled over for other "mishaps"And I'm sure if you told them you just brought the car up here and were having it removed right away, I would think that they would let you go.

I had I think 35% tints on my car for my driver and passanger side windows, I got pulled over by a cop and was told that my vehicle was going to be impounded. If you get pulled over for a speeding ticket or anything stupid be sure to roll down your windows all the way...

Welp, I got an answer to my window tint question today when I got pulled over coming home from work. Luckily I knew the cop, and after some great chat about my Stealth, he strongly recommended that I get rid of the tint before one of his colleagues stops me. So, it's off to the detailing shop tomorrow to get my windows skinned. It was only a matter of time.

That happened alot sooner than I thought it would!
It's unfortunate you had to peel it off, did you get stopped for just tint?

Yup, the pullover was just for the window tint. Apparently the city cops here are on a window/windshield compliance campaign this week and they got me on day one.

Argghhh, I hate B.S. crackdowns like that. How about focusing on safety like those boobs with missing headlights.

No kidding, there are enough people driving around like assholes, and speeding why bother with harassing us with tint.
Tint doesn't kill.
