well I'm planning on taking a week off in July to go to Wasaga Beach and I also want to attend one of the gatherings so I just wanna take my time off when there's a gathering so I can meet some of you's guys and check out your rides

I know at least 3 of us with be at the National Gathering in Indianapolis July 14-18th. You should go down to that one with us. :D

well I'll ask my buddy who's coming if he's up for that and I'll have to let you's guys know
roughly how much does this gathering run you for hotel, food, gas and anything else?
I just need a rough approximation that way I know how much I need to save up

Gathering registration, food package, banquet, and drag racing.. about $150 CDN.
Gas.. probably about 1 and 3/4 tanks of gas each way from Toronto... then a tank while your there.
Extra food.. probably spent around $100 last year for the 4 days for meals that the food package doesn't cover.
Beer.. $20-$100. (Scott was buying the expensive stuff last time that you needed an opener for ;) )
Hotels.. there's a bunch in the area for $65 USD a night, and don't forget you'll be splitting it.
You could probably almost do it all for $500-$600 CDN per person if you had to assuming you're sharing a room in the hotel. Not bad though for a 4 day vacation, and the chance to race your car against over 200 other 3S cars.
Be sure to go to the 3S national gathering website and pre-register... and book a room at the overflow hotel (the main one is full.. but I have my room booked).
If you wanna caravan down with us.. we're probably leaving Toronto on the morning of July 14th at 7am (its a 9 hour drive).

The expensive stuff was worth it, though... ;)
that's gonna be a long ride for me, it's just 8 hours to get to Toronto, then another 9 hours to get to Indy...DAMN!!!!
and I think I'll need more booze money then that, American beer is like water, I might just have to smuggle some good ol' Canadian down there........:thumbup:
but if I do go I will have to caravan down with you's cuz I get lost in big cities and if I'm going to race I'm hoping to have my 13G's by then and the rest of my mods

Why don't you guys drive up the day before we leave, and stay in a cheap motel the night before we leave?
You want to be awake for the drive in any case...
that's actually what I was thinking on doing, my buddy lives in Mississauga so I was planning on crashing at his place the night before get a good nights rest and then head out with you's guys
but I'm still waiting for my buddy cuz I'm not gonna go alone, it would be too expensive

That'll be awesome if you come down with us. Even if your friend can't make it... there's lots of guys on 3si looking to split a room. I have a feeling that even the second hotel is going to fill up this year.
Don't worry how modded your car is to go. Won't make a difference if you're in the staging lanes at the drag strip and you find yourself lined up next to Mike Mahaffy's 800HP Orange car. :whoa:

Yeah, you don't need to be modded at all.
At the first NG, I had only a K&N and nothing else!
Second one, I only had added a DP and Boost Controller and it was still awesome.
Maybe this year you'll line up with Steve and his FWD 13T monster! :D

Yep.. I can't wait to race against Ty from Speedfactor. He's bringing his 500HP "Super ES".
Last year all I had was K&N, testpipe, and race gas (which actually makes you slower if you're non-turbo! :( ). I still made the "Quick 8".. beating out some modded Stealth R/T's with auto tranny.
I don't know if I want to line up a 13T FWD car, I have a feeling that once that thing starts hooking up it'll be hard to keep up to it
just a question Steve how much did those 13T cost ya to get machined and installed, just curious cuz it seems like it's easier to find these 13T's then 13G's

I got 13G's installed, not 13T's.
I'm stockpiling a bunch of 13T's so I can get a whole bunch of them machined, and maybe some custom brackets made for all of them. That way, it should lower the costs.
I'm considering getting 13T's on my car eventually.
13T's are basically the same as 15G's.
It's not as easy of a bolt on as with the 13G's though. Do you still need some DSM 13G's? I still have a couple extra ones.
ya I still need some 13g's, I found one but the guy can't take it off his car till late summer since he needs money to fix it and get his other turbo so that leaves me hanging, if you have any that will fit a "00" I'll take them off your hands

Sorry, all mine left are "10's"... but they would still work if you get a machinist to bored out the lip of your 9b turbine housings. I know a guy that can do this.. but its probably easier for you to just look for "00" ones. If I see any around.. I'll let you know.

we're going to leave here the day before and crash at my buddies and then meet up with you's the next morning that way we can caravan down

Go to the website and do the "pre-siginup".. and make sure to book your hotel room right away. The first hotel is fully booked, and the 2nd hotel is filling up fast.

That sucks to hear! Is it just the fact that you need someone to share the hotel cost with?
it's pretty much sharing everything like hotel costs, gas, all that other stuff
I'm working some figures here and it's hurting, like 800$-900$, that's with spending money so it's a little steep, it wasn't too bad if my buddy would go cuz it would only be like 500-600$
but I'll see what I can do, I think I just found some 13G's so I think I might just blow my money on that, and just go to one of the local meets that you's guys have

We're for sure going to try and have an Ontario gathering some weekend during the summer.. probably go to the drag strip and party afterwards.
