For all you stealth owners who live in edmonton I would like to give you the heads up about crosstown chrysler. It all started when I decided to let a friend help me change my spark plugs. I had him swap the front 3 while I replaced the back. I assumed everything went ok with him doing the front plugs, but when I started the car back up again I heard a loud banging sound..... I had no idea what it was nor did mat. So I decided to have it towed to crosstown on 104ave just because its the closest shop to my house. They rolled it into the shop and a mechanic looked at it for 4 hours. He called me and told me that he could not figure out what was wrong and was going to have another mechanic look at it. So I got a call at the end of the next day by this new mechanic saying it looks like something was in my cylinder!! They claimed that they couldn't see if thats what it was for sure but that was their best guess. So they apparently spent 5 hours trying to fish this piece out of the cylinder(WHICH THEY HAD NO IDEA IF IT WAS MAGNETIC OR NOT) and got nothing.(shop rate at crosstown is $85.45 per hour) They then told me that they looked inside the cylinder that they thought the piece was in with a scope and told me that my cylinder was quite scratched. They called me back telling me that they need to pull the motor out to fix this cylinder. So I asked them If they have even pulled the head off to see if there was anything in this severly scratched cylinder? Of course the answer was no. So I had them do that not knowing how many hours they were going to charge for it. Anyways they pulled the head off and called me back saying that yes the cylinder was scratched and that they found a washer in the cylinder!! (It was one of the front ones that my buddy did)!! So they told me that I should just rebuild the whole enging while they have it out. I told them to wait before they did anything else because I wanted to look at it. They didn't sound pleased with me wanting to do that and for good reason. I got there and all of a sudden it was my lucky day!!!! My cylinder didn't have a SINGLE F****N SCRATCH ON IT!! The piston had a couple of nicks on it but it was in no way in need of a replacement. I was soo pissed Off with them and told them to just put it back together. So they put it back together and the mechanic took it for a test drive. The moron ran it out of gas just before it got back to the shop (there was a little over a quater of a tank in there when I dropped it off!!) So they has the great Idea of pushing back into the shop with a god damn tractor which SHATTERED MY REAR BUMPER!! It was a fight in its self to get them to replace it but they did. Then I got the bill....... They charged me 2500$ for this job. I went nuts and demanded to talk to the manager. They broke down the bill for me and this is how it turned out. 16 hours to pull the head off and put it back on. 5.5 hours because the mechanic snapped two bolts off and had to drill them out!! 4 hours for the first mechanic that looked at it (who happened to be a F****N electrical tech and didn't normally work on engines!!!!) And 5 hours for them trying to fish this piece out of the cylinder!! I eventually got it knocked down to 17 hours but still was very unhappy. They are SCAM artists and dick heads taboot. NEVER EVER GO THERE!!
