i checked my brakes before i put my car away and the rotors and pads look in great condition...but they tend to make a high pitched squeeling noise when they get warm...any ideas??? i thought that something got stuck in between the pads and disk but there was nothing there!

Most likely it’s the braking material that is unglued from the metal piece and it create a vibration!

Remove the pads from the callipers and inspect the joint between the braking material and the metal.

Mine were doing the same, until I found that out and change them for new ones.

Ah...just hit it with a hammer until enough stuff falls off that you can take the wheel off:D . Nothing beats the hammer for precision auto repair...;)

Seriously though...was it one of the wheel hub bolts? If so, the hammer might not be a bad idea...or drill it out. I think you can get individual wheel bolts for pretty cheap. I recommend Markham Mitsubishi to anyone from the GTA area. They give prices almost as good as the online discount dealers but without the high shipping cost, and if you say that you're on the DSM Canada board, you get an extra 10% off. Maybe I should talk to him about getting the same deal for Canada3si members?

bring your car down here!

you'll need to drill the wheel nut out with a 3/8 bit or some thing like that. To stop the nut from turing, hit it with the hammer.

now you need to buy 2 studs and 2 wheel nuts.

well its not really a garage its more like a small barn converted into a shop...No heat! I think i might invest in a wooden stove and insulation;)
