I don’t have one any more!

For a decent machine, it’ll cost you $200 for insurance, $??? plaetes, $160 for membership, $300 for the tune-up, you’re at $600-$700 and didn’t even went for a ride yet! Plus payment and mishap!

How many good weekends do you get out of the winter 2, 3, maybe 4 tops?

What I do now is rent one, $300 for a weekend and you have a year model each time! :D

holy shit thats really expensive!
My friend does all the work on his skidoo and his dirt bike, so I guess he save a lot more money than I thought!
Renting looks like a good idea...

Fooey, lol

This is how I do it, look in a local clasifieds find a bomb, buy it($500:D ) put $200 or so into it to get it runnin, put in a bit O' gas and oil, Throw it in the back of the truck & go somewhere nearby and ride it till it breaks, then fix it again, lol

insureance, membership, & plates.... WTF is all that for.... LOL

Dat's how I's doos it bye, lol

That's the way I used to do it, but then one of my friend show up with a new one, so I did the same thing.

Now you want to show your new machine, so you hit the trails ($160 for member ship & $200 for insurance).
The first winter it’s ok the machine is new, they only thing you need are belts (2 or 3) depending on the driver!
Seconded winter (last year model :(), you need to get it ready for the winter, new sparkplugs $, new belt $, grease all the bearing $, clean the carburetors $, new runners (carbide $), new slides $ maybe a bearing or 2 $. Plates $, membership again $, insurance again $ and don’t forget your new machine of last year cost you $10 000 and this year it’s not new any more and probably not paid off! :(

had a yamaha raptor for some year on wich I did motocross racing competition....the raptor is one of the best racing quad for those who dont know about it.....for the 2 years while I lived in sherbrooke,I rode it winter in snow and ice...ive ridden it all....racing yamaha snowmobiles etc.....let me tell u this is way better....nothing better than blasting a corner and sliding it in a foot of snow....and there is a lot of trails open in winter made for quads.....believe....u wanna have more fun, choose the quad....u wanna have more outcome from ur money, choose the quad....cause u aint gonna ride ur skidoo in the summer, spring and automn....
