I am in the process of looking for some cheap rims and nice winter tires that i will be able to throw on my car when it gets here. I am wondering where would be a cheap place in edmonton to pick them up from. I was hoping to get just a set of plain old black steelies for it but have heard that they are difficult to find ones that will fit, and since I don't have the car here could someone recommend something cheap that would fit a 91 TT and if possible where they are sold.
I was hoping for something like a 17x8 or 17x7.5.
Must be in edmonton
The problem with the TT, is getting cheap rim that will clear the caliper. I'selling my stock TT wheel for cheap! :flaming: $400.00 plus shipping

Welcome to the wonderful world of 3S ownership! :o You're going to have enough trouble trying to find a nice expensive set of rims to fit the TT; forget about going the black steelie route. As Fou suggests, your best option is to find a set of TT OEM rims, such as the ones he's offering. 16"ers won't fit at all, so you have to pass on that idea too! The offset is what messes things up. I ended up putting my Blizzak's on the stock chrome rims, but you'd be better off using the non-chrome ones since winter just eats mine. Some rims might fit with spacers, but you really don't want to go that route either.
Your options are limited, very limited, and unfortunately, cheap is not a word that fits into the 3S vocabulary! :(
But you've got yourself an awesome car!
I've got some stealth rims you could have for 200 if you want. There is 2 toyo tires that are pretty good on them also.

Guys
There are ALWAYS several sets of stock wheels available on ebay
Why??
Because first they are not very good wheels:
Heavy
Steel and aluminum
Easy to bend/ding
Corrode VERY easily in winter
Buy stock because they fit as well described in this thread
Your choices are exceedingly limited and offsets on aftermarket wheels are always a major issue. Proper spacers are good but then the wheels may look goofy...offset too far to the outside, but they clear!!
Just my thoughts

Wheels I guess Eddy set the price pretty low! Mine are in prett good shape so I'll go down to $300 for the set!
