Yea don't ask why but I was just wondering how effective this would be in helping emissions...

So lean the fuel mixture and run the car nice and hard to let it heat up right before testing it... would leaning the fuel mixture make a significant difference?

Just looking for a few opinions...

I think it should help a lil atleast.

Leaning it out should help some, but honestly, all I needed was a tuneup and a new gas cap-they actually test the cap for venting!
Why are you concerned with passing? If you have no precats, than a fresh tune up, and keeping it hot and lean should do it. If you've got a test pipe, forget it. Need to have a main cat to test clean.

Over here in Saskatchewan, we don't know what the word emmissions means. No testing done at all.

ditto for us over this way, but usually once a summere there is a group doing "voluntary" emmisions checks, no penalties inforced or anything if your car is bad it is there to let you know, i think the group is the lung foundation and govt

I wanted to go last year but had a few calls for work to do(being "on Call" sux) and by the time I got there It was shut down!!

Hehe, I say you run it with a test pipe bolted up and see if the machine starts to quiver and beep like R2-D2 when he's scared. :p

Yeah it works that way here too, I'm sure if it came law I'd have no prob(after custom exhaust) either....

Our stickers only last 12 months maximum:rolleyes: well its not that bad really... we don't even need any kind of inspection or safter of any kind yearly at all, the only drag is, is that it cost $140 yearly, and with 2 cars due in the samew month it is quite a bitch:D Oh well what do ya do, lol

Vr4boost, what was your "secret'?
I don't think you could legitimately pass that way with your mods.
