Hey guys...
Well I knew it was gonna happen, one of my neighbours (who is a total loser and complains about everything) complained that my car's exhaust is too loud and that it wakes him in the morning.
Part of me was like "really? haha cool..."
anyways...he said he "measured it" (not sure how) and its over 80 decibles (sp?) so I kinda told him off and advised him to keep measuring and I reved it louder and told him to "measure that"
im just wondering if he gets the cops involved what I can do.
Does anyone know if there is a decible limit? if so what it is?
and I bought a cat back borla exaust system...these are completely legal as far as i know right? except I put a twin turbo exaust on a non-turbo car...hehe :)
any advice?
-Dan

i mena if they say it's legal why shouldn't it be! If they say it is and it isnt you should get your money back or something.
How much did you pay for your borla exhaust system and where did you get it from???(i want one too:D )

$1300 including taxes...kinda pricey but its stainless steel so its a one time buy i figure.
and i got it at Performance Improvements at Queensway and Islington, installed it At Midas on Queensway.
take note though, if you're putting a twin turbo exhaust on a base model you do need to do some minor mods...its not simple bolt on as they claim.
I know cops in toronto are bitches when it comes to modifying a car.
How the hell did your neighbour measuer your exhaust??? LOL, he's full of it, he can't measure it just like that. But the cops *might* hassle you. I don't know. That sucks though, what a pansy. What time do you leave in the morning???

lol crazey is right! theres no way your neighbor measured the db's coming outta your exhaust.
$1300?!!? yeah that is a little pricey!! does it look like this picture???
I personally don't like the dual exhaust tips. I prefer to keep the stock quads. Too bad borla didn't make both available.:(
I think dual singles look mean!!!

i like dual singles on 3000GT's...but on the stealth it just doesn't look right in my mind!
I probably wont get an exhaust upgrade until my stock one falls off anyways! :D
I only have a single rice rocket cannon. I would kill for a double tipped dual. :(

Buy a stock TT exhaust from a member who'se upgrading or who has already upgraded.

I would, but mine is a 3" catback. If I could get a 3" dual, that would rule.

Oh wait, you have an HKS Super Dragger?? A single shot exhaust?? That's a good exhaust man.

I have to look still, but ya, I think it is the HKS Super Dragger.
From the size of the tip (approx. 4") and the shape of the muffler it is my first guess. I like the sounds, and it flows well, but I don't like the coffee can of a tip on the butt end.
I prefer the look of the twin dual, but in this case, performance will win out.
speed > looks (anyday). :D

tell him to suck it up. 80db is like not too far abovenormal speech level (60ish).. he would NOT be able to hear it inside his house(i'm ssuming) to wake him up form your place unless it was 130-140dB..
and if he says you lie.. throw something at him.. like a decibal meter :P

The dual cannons?? Those are TRUE duals, from the turbo's. You need custom header for that exhaust, AND i think it's priced at around 1200 US dollars, LOL.
it's either those or the stock looking exhuast hks has.

the flow out of this one is not much more than the stock one!
It look good, but performance wise....

I have to agree with that. it looks better, in my opinion, but that is a full-on T section, where it splits. Should be a smooth Y section to flow well. and then it has 3 mufflers/resonators. will be no louder than stock exhaust, and will probably not flow any better to notice.
My opinion. look at the thousands of tips out there and choose the ones you want. then get a muffler/speed shop to bend some pipe and weld it up. That is the only way to get what YOU want, and not what HKS wants.
and a HELL of alot cheaper.
I'll try to post some pics of mine if i can borrow my friends digital. Not exactly the way i wanted it, but turned out okay. I have the two tips on either side, that fill the cutout in the bumper. I think they might be a little too big, but hey, its "project low-cash" special.

I'd be careful about buying from those guys. I'm basically banned from their Scarborough store, I told two of their customers in the store that they could get the same stuff for a quarter the price off ebay.
They tried to sell me "tuner style" lugnuts for $8 each!!! I got 20 Kyokugen lightweight racing lugs (less than half the weight) for $70 CDN shipped.I could've get regular tuner lugs for $40 CDN shipped off ebay.
I just got the na borla exhaust put on and i cant tell the differencxe from stock, i even have a testpipe on and it isn't loud at all, but it did make a difference in performance, and what a shine.

How much was the na borla and where did you get it? Do you have pictures of it? The borla website doesn't seem to believe it exists.
