I'm pretty sure that the model I have has stock keyless entry, but it didn't come with a remote when I got it. The procedure for programming a new one doesn't seem that bad, but does anyone know where to get a cheap remote for a '94 around here? It's over a hundred bucks at the dealer, which seems a little steep for a little transmitter.

If you don't want the stock looking one, go to an alarm place, and they have them, they're like 40 bucks i think, or 30, i'm not sure. You could also check with sunrise mitsubishi, they give 25 percent discouts for members. Hans on 3SI also has really good deals on OEM parts.

But alarm place have them and they're not as expensive as the dealer.

Really? You can use a remote other than a stock one? I guess since you have to go in there and program it, it doesn't really matter what kind of remote it is? That's gonna make things a lot easier...

Just goes to show you how much more expensive the Dodge dealers are. Two weeks ago I inquired about a remote, and I was told $240. Both the guy behind the counter and I almost choked. For a few bucks more I can get an alarm, remote starter, and a the remote entry fob.
However the 3si site says you can get em for $25USD in Florida. Follow the link for more details Link to keyless programming page. (http://www.3si.org/programing-keyless.html)
I don't know how current it is, but it might be worth a try.
I like the idea of going to a stereo/alarm place and getting a more reasonable priced unit.
