So it's not your typical war story, but it is the start of a war.
I parked my Stealth outside last night and some little faggets came by and threw a rock through my rear window (landed in back seat). Another rock at my rear left quarter panel (landed 15 feet down the road covered in my red paint), and left side tires have some nice knife holes in them.
Has anyone else had to deal with stupid vandalisms like this?
yep I had my 94TT and my 92TT sitting on the road and some kids drove by and smashed both drivers side mirrors.

Ala Pulp Fiction : It would have been worth them doing it if you could have caught them doing it.

almost true...
id rather catch them attempting it... and then smashing there faces in for trying.
I kept the 2 rocks used thrown, and if I find out who did it, there going to eat both of the rocks

i find a lot of kids just dont understand how the real world works .... they figure all that will happen is that the persons ins co will fix the car and it will be nothing more than a minor inconvenience for the owner. sigh.
then again, kinda sounds like you pissed somebody off for them to intentionally do that. were any other cars trashed? sounds like it might be somebody you know?
either way, that totally sucks. expecially since you were thinking about selling it soon. guess theres not much you can do though :(

Honestly I haven't purposely done anything to anyone
I keep to myself for the most part, thats how I am
I have friends with mouths though.. and I got in a big car chase a couple weeks back with some idiots after my friend. It could be related to that, because thats the only thing im directly involved with.
I know some people don't like me as a driver... I'm heavy footed and I like to get through traffic quickly... but i don't think i could piss anyone off enough to do something like that?
anyway it's deffintley more than a minor inconvienence to me... now i'm driving a 96 Astro to work and the gym.... so whatever I did wrong... I'm paying for it

Actually, most Vandals are young and they trash stuff because it's not their's. They're jealous and that's how children deal with petty jealousies. You've surely seen a couple of 5 yeqr olds fighting over a toy. The one that doesn't won it will try to break it so that the other kid can't play with it? Same thing.
I spent thousands and months painting my 71 GTX. Sunfire Black Metallic base with Candy Sapphire Blue stripes and a weeks worth of taping an emblem onto my hood. Then I clear coated with Pearle Blue. It was beautiful. First time it was parked at the mall it got a couple key scratches the entire length of car. Obviously someone liked it too much. Sh*t boxes don't need key scratches because they already look like they are covered in them.
I painted my 73 Duster Hemi Orange and Black stripes, It lasted 5 trips to town and then it got a key scratch. If you want a super nice car - get used to it. Become a Paranoid like me. If I can't sit by a window and watch my car at a restaurant - I'll go somewhere else.
By the same token, My Stealth Paint (1992 ) was perfect when I bought it 6 months ago. Now that I drove it in the winter it's covered in rock chips! The Ministry of Highways has decided that crushed gravel is better/safer than sand and that means I need a paint job or massive rock chip repairs each year for car shows. Ain't Life a bitch? I guess I could be driving a junker so I don't mean to complain. I'd drive my Stealth TT even if it had rust.

oh no worries i didnt take any offense?
Yeah, whatever the reason is, it's gotten me in a really bad mood for the last couple of weeks. It's my first time dealing with that crap. I understand this whole jelousy thing though. When i park at school kids think its funny to do things to peoples cars like smear their peanutbutter sandwiches across windsheilds, or throw random peices of food at cars. I found a sandwhich or two on my car.. and a few paint chips from penny's. Doesn't matter what it is I guess, tires glass and bodywork, or just a car wash... the disrespect is disrespect and it get's really frustrating.

those car keyings just made my incident sound so petty :P
I can't belive someone could do that though
When I see a nice car like that, I have nothing but admiration for the vehicle and the owner.

So after 4 months I finally found out who did it (or the group of people)
I don't know what to do from here though, seeing as there is no hard evidence the only way they could be charged or something is if they admitted it. I was thinking of kidknapping one of them and threatening to kill them unless they can find someone over the phone to come up with repair money in 24 hours

So who was it? maybe I dont like them too... and tehn we can have a good old fashioned Calgary brawl :flaming:
I am lucky in a way I suppose.. I bought my car with origional, winter driven since 91, paint, chips, scratches, and gouges included. Today with the bright sun beaming down on my freshly washed car (thats right twice in one week), I noticed claw marks from the neighbors cat slipping off my freshly waxed rear quarterpanel. Infuriating, but I brush it off as just another excuse to have my car painted. Or maybe not after all the horror stories I've heard form you guys. I did opt for the $300 deductable on comprehensive... someone come vandalize my car so I can get a free paint job! Oh wait,.. you guys said young punks only vandalize the nice cars... ...damnit:rolleyes:

I don't know if you would know who it was unless you know many (wannabe) hardcore asians

hahaha im totally the same; my paint is so bad that i dont really care anymore. last weekend i knocked over a set of work lights onto my hood ... i went to check for damage but there were so many rock chips i couldnt tell anyway! :p
so yeah if anybody wants to come vandalize my paint, lemme know and ill knock down my deductible! maybe we can park together and get a 2-for-1 deal ... ill trade some 9bs for a careful vandal job?

I really do not understand people doing that to a car like ours. They are rare to come by and just to sit there and people come by and damage them is really not kool. I wouldn't know what I would do if someone would of done that to my car. Sorry to hear about your car

yeah it's mostly jelousy I think, I never really did do anything wrong to anyone, though that doesn't mean I couldn't of pissed someone off.
I think I may have finally got the back window from the guy parting out the 94 rt/tt
one day...

nice!
so were you arrested in the stealth then?
i gotta admit that im not a huge fan of cps either... but i guess at least they were doing something. im not a diehard cop hater but every time that ive had to interact with the cps theyve left me with a very negative impression.
least your neighbourhood will have something to talk about for a few days

Yeah I was in the stealth, unfortunatly it's sort of a tagged car now. It was bad enough I drove a "nice red sports car" at only 16 but now theres this crap.
I've never gotten good impressions either and its because of things like that.
