I went to Canadian Tire to buy new spark plugs for my car and I noticed all they carried for a '94 Dodge Stealth R/T DOHC (Non Turbo) was a brand called Bosch and Champion. I couldn't NGK for my model. Where can I get these? Should I go to the dealership, since I heard that the stock plugs were NGK or should I just get one of the brands I listed above that I saw at Canadian Tire??? If so, are those brands any good? or does it really make a difference?
Bosch and Champion are ok, with Bosch being the better of those two. But, I still wouldn't put them in my car.
Go here (http://www.stealth316.com/0-home.htm) and get the part number for the NGK plugs and go back. They may have them for another car and just not listed for the stealth.
Most Canadian Tires carry NGK stuff, it is just a matter of telling them the exact part you want.

Take Malice's advice about going back to Crappy Tire. You'll need to go to the counter, and give them the specific plug part number that you want. They'll order it in from their depot, and you might even have it in less than 24 hours. I have to do the same thing for my Rx-7.
The stock plug for a 93 DOHC (turbo and non-turbo) is NGK PFR6J-11, but I don't know if that changed for the 2nd gen/94-95.
Crappy Tire's prices are usually decent, and you'd be amazed at what they've got in their warehouse. Problem is, nobody behind the counter has any idea.

lol trying to explain anything to someone at Canadian Tire is like talking to a chia pet. I tried to order my K&N FIPK there and they had the stock filter style only....he said there was no such thing!
anyways on top of that, NEVER get them installed my Canadian tire either!!! Their shop is full of 17 yr old unexperienced Apprentices! I know cause i was almost one myself

Only things I find CT good for are cleaning products, the odd additive, some basic parts and wheel balancing and alignments.
Other then that, I steer clear.

If a tool says Mastercrap, I mean Mastercraft, you know that it's garanteed to break the very first time that you use that. Years ago I purchased some screwdrivers, some wrenches, and rear shocks for my 72 Lemans. I broke a wrench trying to get the shock off, the end of a screwdriver broke off trying to tighten a screw, and less than 1 week later, both shocks were leaking.
From that point on, I never buy anything from Crappy Tire that isn't someone else's brand name, such as Munroe, Champion, etc.
A friend told me that they carried Fel-pro gaskets for my MGB at half the price of what I could get them for from anywhere in the US, and gave me the CT part number. I went in, told them what I wanted, and their reply was simply, 'We don't carry parts for British cars.' I told him to check the warehouse, and sure enough, they had them. I ordered 2 sets, since I didn't want to go through that again. I subsequently told a couple of friends, and they went to purchase them at Crappy Tire, and were told they didn't carry them, never had, never will...
Just gotta love it!

I've had it with crappy tire. I refuse to go there anymore. The last 3 times I was there were all a waste of time.
1) Went there to look at snow tires. Waited in line 5 mins while the dumb parts clerk was trying to help someone. Then asked what they had for selection of 245/45/17 tires, the phone rings.. the clerk says hold on a minute. He talks on the phone with a customer for 5 mins, then hangs up and tells me they don't carry 17" snow tires!
2) Went looking for a K&N FIPK. Waited at an unattended parts counter for 10 mins with about 5 other people. Part guy gets back from having a smoke. I ask if they can get me a K&N FIPK, he says he doesn't know what that is, but it doesn't matter because the store is closing in 5 mins. He says he'll look into it and call me, of course he never did. The while I'm there I ask him if he has exhaust (test pipe) gaskets for a 1996 Stealth (I didn't want confuse him by saying I have a mitsubishi). He says they don't have and exhaust parts for Dodge stealths. I told him that its the same one used by other manufacturers, but he's like "next...."
3) The last straw was my "lawn tractor battery" mod. I bought the battery off the shelf, took it home and it wouldn't take a charge. I take it back the next day and they laugh because they forgot to fill the battery when it came in. I didn't think it was so funny when I needed a working one right away when my old one crapped out.
I now just get everything from NAPA auto parts. They actually know that stuff is, and apologize if you have to wait more than a few minutes. The best thing about them though, is that they are very helpful on the phone. For anyone that every tried calling the parts dept at crappy tire, they would appreciate the difference.
Ok... done ranting. :)
