Hey ,
If anybody's interested there's a 1994-95? Sorrento Red ( burgundy) 3000 GT SL with 17" Eagle Polished 5 spoke rims at the REPO Depot (next to the IKEA) in Etobicoke.....Its listing for $14999 and its got about 107000 miles on it...eeech...Tan Interior in good condition a little wear on the seat of the drivers side...Missing small speakers on the dash and the actual headunit...Overall body is in excellent condition..hood/bumper could use paint job in the future...Front passenger rim not salvageable looks like bad curb dent but other 3 in mint cond....If anybody wants to put a bid in and buy it ..I'd take the rims off your hands....Didn't get a chance to see/hear what the engine is like but car looks like a beauty

Hey there,
I actually just picked up the car you're talking about and am excited about the prospect of joining the canadian 3000gt family. The car was not loved by his previous owner and will take a bit of work to get it on the road. Your assessment is very accurate. The only thing you missed was that the transmission casing is cracked and I need to replace it.
Anyone out there have any suggestions (on where the best place in the GTA is to get it fixed)?
I did get it for a very good price though ;)
hey popeye I'm not from toronto so I wouldn't know about where you could get it fixed around there but there are many people here from that area that could help you.
But I'd just like to congratulate you on your new car, and welcome you to the board!
enjoy the board

Thank you everyone. Yeah actually, the body is in great shape. I know there were a few bidders on it but they all flaked out. I ended up paying way below 10 on it. I'd say a pretty good deal all things considered.
I may try going to Eclipse automotive. Anyone have any dealings with them?
ps. I'll remember to honk! I'm in the Erin Mills area.

but 5 spd of course!
Is the crack on the case that bad it can't be welded? You should try to fid a person who works on trannys and such get them to remove everything from the case and bring it to a welder to get welded, That is what was done to my truck last summer, the auto tranny case was being rebuilt and in the process it was taken to a welder to have a crack repaired!!
Good Luck!!

Why eclipse?? Do they even have a repair shop?? I would say try a scrap yard that has 3000gt's if you're looking for a replacment part. I forgot the address to a big one that has alot of 3k and mitsu stuff, i'll look to see if i can find it.
But check the message board, www.3si.org to see if there are any for sale also. Or do what bigboi said.
Welcome to the board.

Popeye999,
The name of the owner of Eclipse Automotive is Micheal Mikhail...He's a pretty nice guy...I had them replace my
ECU when it blew a couple of months ago...Came to pick up
my car(tow) no charge and ended up not charging me on labour for the install of the new / used ecu....
I've heard mixed reviews about the place .. I can only say that my dealings went fairly well...I told them on my visit that the ecu probably burnt out....they went ahead and checked everything until they got to the ecu and there lay the problem..Its probably why he didn't charge me for the labour...
They seem to be one of only places specializing in DSM maintenance and repairs...Maybe he'll give the group a discount if we bring our cars to him for major shit...who knows....

Thanks for the advice guys.
Crazey,
Can't remember that website? That would be sweet if you could.... LOL
All I've found to date are places in the US. There is no way I'm going that route.
