Hey guys...

Just wondering if you guys had any interesting gauking stories?
People always double take when we drive by but would be interesting to hear what some of them say.

Here's my latest one...

On Sunday after the DSM meet I had some kids at Yorkdale start poking each other as i passed by, then this one kid says...

"Yo guy check out that solid Ferrari"
then this other guy goes
"You idiot that's a Stealth"
and he's like
"a wha?-oh ya I knew that dog!"

I looked over and just laughed...haha

I was attending a wedding reception at a nice downtown hotel back in 1991. I had to go to the parking garage to get extra film that I had forgotten only to find a family of Japanese tourists posing my car taking pictures!

All I could understand was "Ahhhhh, GTO!"

:D

The best one so far was a group of 15 year old hoed out girls looking at the car and saying "Only the cars with big spoilers are fast". I got a real kick out of that, if only there worn't 15................... :D

Here's another one...I told this one to a couple guys at the meet last weekend.

I was on my way home from work a couple weeks back...
I was stuck in traffic (ofcourse) on Sheppard when I hear someone honking...I look over thinking its prob someone i know or something....its this big mobster looking guy in a SUV
he's yells out, "Hey buddy, Are you selling your car??"
im like, "WhaT??"
he screams out "Do you want to sell your car??"
i start laughing, "Are you serious man" i say
he yells out again, "If you're serious about selling im serious about buying" and he's totally checking over the car
so im like, "Nah man, I dont think so"
so he looks all sad and kinda pissed now, out of curiousity I asked
"How much are you willing to pay?"
He shruggs his shoulders and says
"Whatever, are u selling or not?"
Im like "Nah!" and I take off!!

haha funny shit eh? oh well i thought so...I wonder how much he was willing to pay for it...hmmmm

i got a couple more stories i'll save for later

When I first got the car, it was in my parent garage as it needed a bit of work. My uncle came in the garage as I was working on it one day and said “nice Viper”. Like I can afford one!

All the people at work were asking me how much I’ve won “lottery” and why was I still working there!

Well ten years ago a $40,000.00 car was quite expensive. I've also gotten a few 'rich boy' comments when I first had my Stealth. No one knew it took me 6 years to pay it off.

I was in downtown MTL, drivnig through downtown at around 3:30am after clubbing, and these dudes were like "HOLLY SHIT, LOOK, A LAMBORGHINI". LOL:p

Or i was driving through a little street in MTL, was gonig fairly slow, and some guy was like "damn, now that's a fucking nice car" and his friend goes "what are you talking about, it's ONLY a 3000GT". SO i reved and blew off, he shut up fast:D .

and this one time at band camp.............

I'm what you might wanna call a Blow-Off-Monkey...lol...needless to say I abuse it (the BOV)...pulling into a Timmies and as I come in I always blow off, so this particular time as I zoomed past these Gino Crapalier owners one of them turned around and really loudly made this ptsss noise, so if I'm asked I deliver...and weeeeeeee-->ptsssssssss

There's a classic car meet (50's-70's muscle cars)...I went a couple of times and showed her engine off, got mixed remarks but one of the best ones was 2 old guys, didn't really look like car enthusiasts but they started looking, and all I heard after that was "Turbo...bla bla bla...fast...bla bla bla..." it was nice because most ppl are like "It's a 4cyl, what damage can it do???". At the end of the night they usually do a little "Gross display of HP" so I joined, of course no burn out for me but seeing me hit a 130km/h before a mustang changed their perception on this little 4cyl...

Here's a little pic:

Hi guys, nice topic.

This happened to me last year. My father is the president of a car club in St. Thomas (he has a '57 Desoto Firedome - pure Mopar). Every Father's Day weekend, there is "Auto Fest". On the Sunday, cars of all kinds - old ones, new ones, kits, etc. pack one of the parks and people come in to look at them. I was convinced to bring my Stealth so I parked it, opened the hood and windows and setup a lawn chair with the other owners across the walkway in the shade.

Lot's of people came walking by but there was this one guy (must have been mid-20s) and he had a cam-corder. He saw the Stealth and went nuts. He starting taping under the hood, inside, all over the outside. He thought he died and went to heaven.

It was interesting to see who looked at it closely and who didn't. The age cutover was about 50. Every one over 50 looked at the old cars. Under 50 they looked at the Stealth.

Here's one that made me giggle...
(you guys must think im making this stuff up)

I was at a car show at applewood mall a few months back with some of the other guys here. A kid (about 12 yrs old) comes up to our cars from the front with a surprised look on his face, then he takes a look at my front bumper then runs over to his Dad and says, "Hey look Dad! The new Dodge Ram!!"

hahahaha...

the kid saw the Dodge symbol (the ram head) on the front bumper and thought it was the new Ram!
I donno i thought it was funny since a Dodge Ram is a big ass Truck! hahaha! That woulda been a hell of a model revamp eh?

well off to check my clutch master cylinder :(
later boys...

LOL, dodge ram, hahaha. NICE. LOL

YOu wana laugh???

I was in ottawa, in downtown. And these two girls walk by, FINE AS HELL!!!! I mean like beautifull(well one of them was that nice, hehe). So tell my friend, hop in, let's go get them. We roll up, talk for a few secs, and I offer then a ride, they jump in. The amazing one sits in the frnot next to me, and my friend sits in the back with the blond(she's kinda tipsy too).

I had my HKS TT Type 1 mounted next to the hood release latch, and it's indiglo green, and has an indiglo red shift light set at 3k for normal driving and 6900 for racing. I had it set to normal driving. And everytime i hit 3k, it would turn red(hit red like twice i think). The girl in the back strats tripping out, going "OMG OMG what's that red light, what's that red next to your foot". I stop the car, thinking "OH FUCK, wires shorted out and there's a fire". I look, and see nothing, then find out she was talking about the TT. Her frind starts laughing and tells me she has a thing for neons, fine, that's cool.

Still driving, talking to the passenger, and the blond in the back asks "What kind of car is this?". So i'm like "It's a mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4:D ". She's like WHAT??? I repeat "Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4". Again, she's like "A what??" So i just say "it's just a mitsubishi". Again, she goes "A what". LOL, so i say "It's a 300GT". She then goes "Ohhh, The year 3000 model?". I start laughing my ass off, my friend in the back is hitting himself, and her friend, the passenger is laughing hard too, and calls her an idiot.

We get to the passengers house, passenger gets out, and the girl in the back is like "how do i move the seat?" So put the seat up for her, and go "Here you go bud". She giggles, looks at her friend and goes "hehehe, i'm his bud". LOL, again we all laugh hard. girl was kind tipsy.

Fucking funny ass ride i tell you, lol.
