Engine Removal

ok i am romoving the engine from my n/a and i was wondering if i have to pull the tranny out with it or can i just take the engine out. i was not sure if the input shaft would prevent me from doing so. The ideal situation would be to just be able to take the engine out much less work someone out there has done it so??????????help would be apprechiated thanks ERic

I think it comes out together.

It will be a lot easier to pull it with the tranny attached. All you need to do is pull the axles out and shift linkage to get the tranny out also.
