Engine 250-hp 2.7-liter dohc 30-valve twin-turbo V6
Transmissions 6-speed manual, Assembled in Neckarsulm, Germany
Mods:
Intake

ABT chip (rated 310hp at 5700 rpm & 370 ft-lbs from 2400-3500 rpm) ALMOST 400 ft-lbs ?! :eek:

no muffler exhaust

18" OZ rims

Adjustable coil-over suspension.



He came with me to get my exhaust done, and on our way back we ended up side by side at a traffic light crosswalk (so there is no light facing the other way for you to time when your side is going to go green).
He starts to grin over at me while he revs...uh oh.... he used to dance all over me when i just had a boost controller and was way out of tune. He's friggin fast. but ive got the Stealth Bomber running pretty good now, and i think, i am just going to give it a run and see if I actually have gotten any faster' ...sort of thinking that this time i might be able to keep up....

line up of cars behind us at the lights.

S4 revs way up high and plays with it:
With 5 valves/cylinder it sounds like an F1 car!

Stealth turbo revs:
deeper and burblier, you can hear the turbos sucking a hole in the atmosphere....


light goes green.

dump the clutch at whatever i was at (2k-4k?). I get some jerking/trembling that was either the clutch chattering or the wheels grabbing and letting go of the road, then it hooks up and Im off! he jumped ahead with a little better launch(maybe my nose is at his back tire) , but before im out of 1st gear, im ahead :eek:! He has a six speed so he has to shift sooner. I hammer it into 2nd and dont think i lost an inch of my lead. Im pulling steadily ahead. he lifts to shift into 3rd and that was when it was obvious the race was decided. I was pulling strongly and once he shifted it gave me nearly a car between us. Into third and that is my killer gear. Its obvious hes not going to catch me so we both let up. Im more than halfway through third (150km?)

We get back to his house.

"Ya....thats pretty fast"

and we havent breathed a word of it since. :)

Third gear in my car is "Rape mode" as well. Third is best gear to tune your boost, 'cause it holds the most, and it's the best gear to let the rapage begin, hehe.

I kind of know what you mean. 2nd feels like its the strongest, cause you are taking off so fast, but my little 9b's just run out of breath too quickly. in 3rd, it is so much longer, that you can hold full boost longer, therefore making full power for longer. When you get a nice sunny day, and a good song comes on the radio and you are cruising on the highway....third gear becomes my porn star. :p

lol nothing beats driving around in 2nd-3rd gear all day listening to "I Ran" by Flock of seagulls.
It's off of that GTA Vice City commercial it makes me go crazy fast!:eek:

I'm more of the second gear fan myself. Nothing beats punching it in second at 3500rpm..... its the SEEEEE YAAAAAA gear :D

My brother in law is looking at buying an S4 with the same chip, plus a DP from a buddy of his.

I hope to get a ride in it. He has been told that the two mods put it somewhere around 350HP.

If he gets it, he wants to race.
I'm interested, but I'd really like to understand just how fast these really are.

I'm told that it feels REALLY fast, and he has ridden in my TT (although 1st Gen and STOCK), and he believes it is faster than me.

I'm interested to understand out whether this is really the case???:confused:

An extra 100 HP with a chip and 1/3 of an exhaust system is highly unlikely.

But they are fast little buggers. And they are built amazing. Germans know engineering.

With your car set up for 15 psi (gapped plugs and adequate fuel) you should take him. IT will be a good race though, and will have alot to do with driver. basically who wants to hammer thier car harder :( .

Nobody is going to walk away from the other, but i would have faith in Speedy Greenzales

You can see that the GIAC chip (the best around) is supposed to give +60 HP, +110 ft/lbs torque,7100 RPM REV Limiter, Vehicle speed limiter removed!!:eek:

Didn't your friend (with an S4) come to at least one of the gatherings last summer???

Ya, thats the same guy.
He's done alot of work since then. He will probably come with me one day this summer so you can check it out....Dont have any pictures :(
