I flew to Chicago, rented a car (Kia) and drove 1200miles to Georgia to look at 3 Vipers. Didn't like them so I drove back to Pekin Ill. and bought the first one I looked at, a Roe Supercharged 98 Viper GTS. Drove it home, 3,000mi+. Unbelieveable speed!

Found out that in Wisconsin the minimium speeding ticket is $182us and if you can't pay for it right there (on the side of the road) you go to jail!

Had a great drive, even though I did miss my Stealth cup holders and cruise-control.

I'd resell it for $90,000cdn, if someone buys it I'll go find another one. 20,000mi. 588rwhp and well over 600ft of torque at the wheels. Only 22mpg at freeway speeds, less when you go slower.

Yup, that car is incredible. $90,000CDN eh? I'm sure the bank would say "Sure, go right ahead", but my wife would say "Sure, go right ahead... and don't come back from Nimpo Lake." :o

Yah, I know what you mean. When I looked at the Viper and went for a test drive the wife sat in the rental and waited. The guy I bought the car from thought she was exceptionally patient.

Turns out his wife has never even sat in either of his Vipers.

Since the money for my car came from my business my wife doesn't tell me how to spend it. The business was mostly thanks to my efforts. She just says things like, "Stupid" every so often. My wife prefers her Escape and her dream 'car' is an Escalade. It's all about room for the "spoils of shopping" to her. Guess I'll be installing a trailer hitch on the Viper, same as I did to the Stealth.

The mods are Roe 8.5# Supercharger kit (with electronic systems), K&N, modified airbox, 03 wheels and 19" tires, slotted/drilled rotors, rear 40mm calipers, brake pads, water/meth inj. kit, Random high-flow cats and 3" polished Stainless exhaust, short shifter handle & Stainless Brake lines.

I waiting to purchase a set of headers (30hp) for it and that should be enough (620rwhp) for awhile. I installed my DVD/CD player last night and yesterday I hotwired the Daytime Running Lights. Another couple days and the roads should be dry enough to drive the 300kms to Wms. Lk. for the two inspections.
