raced a buddy of mine twice.... once from a stop, once from a roll.... from the stop i killed him bad, (he was spinning hard in 1st and 2nd)... 2nd race from a roll in first was a great race... i beat him, but any 3S's without min. upgraded turbos might not want to race an M5.. they are pretty hot even stock...

Great way to end the car racing season and I get bragging rights for the winter... :) He's my neighbor so its even better.. he s got a sweet car.

Right on man, judging by your mods, and assuming he's stock (?) it must have been pretty ugly from a stop. What does your car run?

ya from a stock i smoked him pretty good... buuuut it was cold and he couldn t get his rubber to lock up or it would have been closer, i probably had 10 lengths on him... if he'd have hooked up I 'd guesstimate about a 2-3 length win... they are friggin fast cars even stock.... was a fun race, no doubt the first of many ;)

its actually just a good gauge to see how my car runs against others... Its been a slow summer for racing this year.... it was just fun to get back in the saddle again. I'd always wanted to race an M5.. they are nasty. I ll tell you what tho... just proves how dirty AWD is on a high power street car.... not much on the road that can touch a heavily modded awd sports car...

I think the cfds makes a somewhat noticeable difference in responsiveness. Although my car hasnt ben running very well again lately (unrelated). I was thinking of taking it off and putting the old one back on and maybe getting a 2-peice. Maybe you'd like to buy it and try it out...?

ya it ll fit your car Chadly.... would be a great upgrade for you... do some research on 3si... the cfds gets rave reviews from all who have one.... takes a heap of stress off the drive train and frees up some power thats already there but can t get to the wheels.....

Should fit, so long as you are a 5-speed. I wish I could have as little of a concious as the people who sold this to me - and tell you that there are no issues with it, however this is the point where honesty must previal. Since installing this CFDS, I havent been able to go much over 100mph, because of the vibration issue (which davin, you may have notied sprouted up from time to time during your 3si search). I can reassure you however and say that there is a possibility that it is just my car and something else in the driveline that is causeing the vibration. Although I do have rebuilt axels in the rear, and a new, hardened, MW 18 spline output shaft - so I should have minimal play in the rest of the car. Anyways, this is why I mentioned that maybe I will be going to a 2-piece.

ya from all i've read the 1 piece vibration issue is VERY car specific... i assume you ve tried rotating the shaft several times to see if it makes a difference? I think ll get a PST 1 piece.. they say if it vibrates I can exchange it for a 2 piece and just pay the diff..... they have a sale on until dec. 14th... 1 000 us... not bad...

Yah, that is a pretty godo deal. I got my ACPT from GT Pro for 1000us, plus had to pay em $175 to install it! Im thinking about trying to take it back and return it, cause ACPT is apperently pretty good about that, but $200 for return shipping is out of the question.

Ive tried rotating it once, but it never made the slightest difference. 80mph the vibration becomes noticeable, but toerable, 100mph the vibration becomes very noticeable and partialy intolerable, and 120mph is the fastest ive ever gone with it because the vibrations are literally completely intollerable. Kinda makes it pointless to upgrade the performance of your car by putting a governer on it....

BUT, if anyone does want to try it, I'll let yah come over and take it off my car and put it on yours and go for a rip (to see if there are issues with it on your car) before paying for it, if there are any takers.

so i hear. the problem is i can't seem to activate my account on 3si. what is the easiest way to get an account? and why is a two peice better than a one peice?

I dont think they allow you to sign up with a hotmail account, and posibly some other accounts. I had the same problem until I tried using a shaw account.

In my case, a 2-peice would be better than a one peice because the sections are shorter (reducing harmonic whip: aka vibration) and one of the sections utilizes the location of a stock hangar bearing - further reducing vibration.
