This goes out to the real tech guys on here (Crazykid, Fou, etc...)

Next time you are under your car, take a look at the Driveshaft connection. There must be a way to safely disconnect/reconnect it down there. If the DSM guys can unhook it and run on a 2WD dyno, why cant we? Can you think of an easy (under an hour) way to disconnect from the transfer case?

I think it might be possable to do as long as you droped the transfer case as well. You can't actualy just "drop" the drive shaft without taking the TC off aswell anyways. If you left the TC on and just pulled the shaft it would leak out all the oil and lock up. I don't know if it would cause any damage inside the tranny to have only the front wheels spinning but from what I have read it could burn out our VCU's. I'm not too sure whats different about the DSM tranny Vs. Ours I'll look it up and try to find out the answers.

To actualy pull the TC you have to drop the downpipe then undo 6 bolts on the TC. It only takes about 10 minutes to do.

You can't drop the back tires and run on front wheel drive. (I think)The vishous coupling tries to put through the AWD traction controll and the car won't move. I don't exactly know why but I tried driving without a Transfer Case and had no luck. I'm sure someone on international 3SI can explain it for you. The only way to get your car to be FWD is to weld the output shaft or find some way to hold it still. :(
