Hey I just got theses and the offset won't fit my car. They would be perfect for a R/T or any non-turbo car. Since I already paid shipping/ brokerage fee/ and taxes I don't realy want to send them back to the states. I want to get $1500 for the set of 4 and am firm on that price. They are a 5x114.5 bolt pattern with a 45mm offset and brand new. If anyone is interested in them let me know at turbosarebetter@hotmail.com Thanks!

No way they can be made to fit on a TT?? Spacers maybe??

No inquiring for myself, but for someone in desperate need of some rims.

*cough*vr4boost*cough*

NO WAY!... They dont fit?! Aw, thats shitty man. Thats the only mod you really had left to do :(

Whats the problem? If its bolt pattern, you can have them redrilled at Tiremag. if its offset, you can have them milled down or like Crazey said, go with spacers.... Waitaminut, $1500 with tires?

I realy don't want to use spacers on them they would need at least a 1/2" spacer. They would need longer wheel studs too and I've called around to a bunch of performance shops and they all say that it isn't worth the trouble it might cause. The $1500 is not with tires. The shipping / taxes / and brokerage fees (stupid UPS) alone cost over $400 that is why I realy don't want to have to send them back too the states but If I have too I guess I will.

Crap. That really sucks...

Those are nice rims...

Ya, I know spacers arent the best option, but when you are talking about a $100 fix for a $1,500 problem, you at least have to mention it. :( Half inch is far too big for a 4,000 lb sports car anyway. Now if you had a lowered minitruck with a naked goddess painted on the hood.....

So are you going to have to pay to ship them back, and then to ship new ones up?

Yup, all crazykid needed was some rims, and that's it.

Dude, crazy, paint your rims like Marc(fou) did, until you buy some rims. They look AWESOME. He painted them a dark greyish color, almost black, until he gets his rims. It cost him probably like 20-30 bucks to do it, with canadian tire paint and clear coat.

Only mod I had to do left? Theres lots to do still! :D

Crazey

meaning appereance wise :p . There's nover a time when you have nothing left to mod, hehehe. But what i was saying, is all you're missing right now is rims, and you're set. You have the same rims as vr4boost, and i keep bugging the hell out of him to get some rims, lol.

Sure, he'd have his rims, but he'll never be done...

I thought the next step was ;) ...
Dual Walbro's, 720's, DR-650's, AEM ECU, Stage 3 heads, LSI MAF Conversion, dual Carbon/Carbon clutch and so on... :D

Man, does my timing ever suck. I just bought some rims for my RT and the R6's were my second choice. I've been looking at rims for over 2 years and still haven't found anything that looks as good as the chrome 5 spokes on 95 TT's. Too bad the price on those is insane.

P.S. I just happened to find the link for this site in the Toronto Star today. Looks like an excellent source for Canadian Stealth info!

Cool, glad you found us  . Diablo is the one who is advertising for us, hehe, and he's one of the webmasters who mainly answers e-mails from the main page.

There is also www.3si.org . It's the international community. Whatever you can't find an answer to here, you will FOR SURE, guaranteed to find it there.

Welcome, hope you enjoy it.:D

Diablo is running an add in the Toronto Star, a paper in Toronto. He has a link to the site, and his phone number, and his e-mail addy. He said he's been getting quite a bit of calls, e-mails, and alot of people visiting the site.

Ya, the Toronto Star has a "Wheels" section with an area called "Autodate" that lists carshows, gatherings, clubs, etc. I'd never really looked at it before, but for some reason gave it a closer look this time, and voila, there was a listing for:
Dodge Stealth/Mitsubishi 300 GT, meets monthly, chat/message board online. Lars 416-922-0152
lars@clubradioworld.com
www.ontario3si.com
Needless to say, I was happily surprised...

I don't get it ! How can they not fit since they are 45mm offset and stockers are 46mm?

turbosarebetter
05-19-03, 10:40 AM
because the stock rims are 8.5" the rims I got are 8". I didn't understand how offset was measured before thats why I got these. Either was I picked up the H&R spacers and now they are on my car so are no longer for sale.

crazykid,
Given that these are only 8" rims, how wide a tire can you go (safely)????

Crazey
05-20-03, 11:41 AM
he can easly go 245, but i think any wider is pushing it.

I have 245/40/R18's on it right now. I didn't want to go any largers than that. I can't get any pics right now cause the car is in a million peices in my garage!

I don't recommend spacers at all. I put aftermarket rims on my vette years ago, with some fairly small spacers, and guess what happened? All the lugs got sheared off while driving o n the highway...luckily the wheel was held on by one lone lug. this happened at different times to each wheel.
Unless you get extra long wheel studs (Moroso for one, makes them), and then either open ended nuts (which looks lousy) or cut the studs to fit ( not easy to do).....you may have troubles....dangerous and expensive troubles.

How does the car handle now that you have the spacers on? Does the car pull left or right in anyway ? Just curious how much play there is ... I just put on my rims yesterday; 18x9 on Bridgestone Potenza 245/40/18's...I don't think the guy at Matts Tires balanced them correctly...I'm getting vibration at a 100km/h...Gonna take them to Mississauga Tire Centre...they've got a computerized wheel balancer.....My offset is quite low...30mm... but the car holds steady til I hit a 100...anyhoo

Just removed my wheels last night for a closer look...all but one of the wheels had centering rings...bought some and its reduced the vibration...gonna go in for proper wheel balancing tommorra....
