View Full Version : Info on cheap parts...FYI!
Just in case someone has use for this link:
http://www.mitsupartsdirect.com/
I just ordered a couple of things. One of them is an 02 sensor, for 65 US. That's about a hundred Cunuckbucks. My local dealer wanted 189, plus GST,PST etcST!!!
I figure that's about half price before shipping; though I doubt that will be much via USP ground.
Just FYI dudes.....

Shipping is REALLY expensive from them. Like $30 US on that O2 sensor. If you order, make sure you order a lot of stuff. I ordered about $250 US of stuff recently and it cost $65 US to ship.
It still works out cheaper, but be careful on that shipping. Group buys for everybody in the same city should be worked out to save cash on shipping...

Haven't got my stuff yet; I chose UPS ground...we shall see, I guess. So much for any saving, if that's the case. All I've gotten so far is an email "Order shipped".
Supposedly, the first time one orders from them, shipping is free - but not to Canada, probably. I'll update this post when the stuff arrives......
Well no duh. My crap arrived (VERY quickly; I requested UPS Ground, it came FedEx express) and the shipping was 47 frikkin' US frikkin' Dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foquez-moi! Part of it is 'customs brokerage, 27 beans -on TOP of which I had to pay the delivery-boy 26 for duties and taxes. And so...never again, unless it's a part I just can't find plus need fast.

AS I feared. :(
The only time it's cheap is if you order a bunch of stuff. For example, My last order was 3 air filters, fuel filter, thermostat, PCV valve, O2 sensor, and some oher stuff. Shipping came to $65 US ($100 CND!) but the total I paid for the stuff was like ~$250 CND, so $350 CND, whereas the dealer wanted close to $600 ($130 for a therostat???) for all the parts.
So, you do save, but you need to make big orders or order as a group.

Link that you posted is for Rockville Mitsubishi in Marryland.
They have the best prices on all the parts,so I always order parts from them.
I always request USPS Insured ground shipping,if I am not in a hurry or; USPS Air insured shipping if the parts are needed soon.
Ground shipping usually takes 7-10 days,if lost up to a month.
Air shipping takes usually 5 business days.
UPS and FEDEX both have silly surcharges when item arrives in Canada.USPS shipping comes delivered with regular Canadian mail, and you end up usually paying only Pst and Gst to the post office when you pick it up,or directly the postman, who brings it to your door, and that is basically it.
If the item is worth less than 100can$ you will pay nothing at the post office or to the mailman.
As for UPS and Fedex,I am definately done with doing anymore bussiness with them.
Good luck,
Milan
