I was at the tire place yesterday getting my new tires put on (Yokohama AVS Sport tires), and this guy in a crappy 1989 Honda Civic that was in bad shape pulls up.
The thing was lowered, but I think he just cut the springs in it. Anyways he's acting like he's "mr. performance" guy and starts looking at all these expensive rims. He's telling the tire guy that he wants some "performance" wheels and some h or v rated performance tires. I guess he needs those tires to handle the 87HP to the wheels that those cars put out. I kept smiling at the tire guy as he was trying his hardest not to start laughing at the guy.
So in the end he ends up getting some nice Konig wheels, even though they're only 15". Anyways the guy spent about $1700 with tax for the 4 wheels and 4 goodyear tires. Is his car even worth that much? Personally I think those wheels and a full tank of gas and his car should be worth around $1750.
