Below is what I did for my 60K mile service. I also rebuilt the alternator and changed my P/S fluid and brake fluid as well as it was 9 years old. Note: Part#'s for Turbo models are probably different for a couple of the items. However, prices will still be within a few bucks of each other (TT and NA). Also, 91-93 cars will have some differences in part #'s.

I have done a lot of searching and believe I have found the cheapest price for OEM parts in Canada. The source is Hyatt Mitsubishi in Alberta.

(Ask for Craig in Mitsubishi parts)

Given that they give us (3SI members) a 15% discount and Alberta has no PST they come out even cheaper than places like mitsupartsdirect.com in the USA.

Here is what I've ordered so far and the prices I've paid. I plan on updating this post and finding out prices on struts, rotors, etc and common wear & tear items. If you order a bunch of stuff I'd appreciate it if you email me at tbadiuk@escape.ca so I can update this list.

My MEGA 60K service part list (1994 Non-Trubo)

[ALL PRICES IN $CND]

MD172376 Power Steering Belt $35.88
MD193874 Timing Belt $145.37
MD190981 Oil Pump $221.13
MD158618 Oil Pump Screen $39.26
MD183239 Oil Pump Screen Gasket $1.90
MD972005 Water Pump $120.56
MD319040 Timing Belt Tensioner $122.31
MD318474 Alternator Tensioner $53.70
MD140071 Timing Belt Tensioner Pully $33.65
MD319022 Timing Belt Idler Pully $31.69
MD152603 Cam Seal (individual) $9.11 [you need 4]
MD372249 Oil Seal, Crankcase $8.19 (formerly part #MD120700)
MD189779 Oil Filter Bracket Assemby Gasket $5.00 or less(*)

(*) I missed this one and had to order it from the Local Dodge dealer. Took like 5 days to get in.

Above prices do not include 7% GST or shipping.

They strangely can not get an A/C belt for us, you need to go to Dodge for that. The part # is FB86455.

The above cost me $916.44 (includes GST) plus shipping. That is very cheap compared to the $1800 I was initially quoted by the cheapest local Dodge dealer.

UPDATE JULY 29/03: They now ship out via Greyhound so order away! :D I also have prices on rotors and brake pads that I will add to the above later.

BTW, the local Stealth guys and I stopped by this dealership on the long weekend to make the group discount "official" but the Parts dept. was closed. :o They thought it was cool that all these high-powered Mitsus stopped by though. :D I was planning to drop by there again this week so will post any follow-up details.

UPDATE! :D
============
Ok, I spoke with the parts guy at Hyatt Mitsubishi in the Calgary Automall today and we now have an "official Mitsu club discount". :D Here's all you need to do.

1) Call 403-258-2209 and ask for Craig Dewis or you can email: hyattinfiniti@aol.com (it's the same dealer).
2) Specify you are from the Mitsubishi Club. This entitles you to a 15% discount on the wholesale price.
3) When ordering parts, use the Mitsubishi equivalent names (i.e. 3000GT version) because their system doesn't know Stealths or Talons.
4) If you are out of province, they will consider shipping but of course that's extra (and probably won't for a $20 order).

That's it!

For anybody who is ordering out of province, remember there are no provincial taxes!! And don't forget, the Mitsubishi CAPS program makes life easier when confirming what you're ordering. ;)

BTW, I checked some prices today and they came in 10% - 25% cheaper than the best price I could get from a local Chrysler dealer with mechanic's discount!

I should hope so! :p

Ya, i just want to clear that up, since he was comparing to prices from mitsupartsdirect.com in the USA.
Im all the way in Toronto anyway. I dont know why I'm getting excited

Yep, it's in CND. It still may be cheaper even if your in T.O. If you can find a local Mitsu dealer in T.O. that gives 15% off and has cheap list prices than it won't as the 8% off (PST) will just be canceled by shipping.

Sounds good. I never really set the discount up "offically", but if you speak to Craig you should be able to set something up.

No problem, I plan on updating the above as I order more parts or people send me price lists from stuff they've ordered.

Yep, they are super cheap. They are on par with the cheapest prices at the U.S. dealerships. Heck, at this point parts are cheaper for my Stealth than my Probe GTS! :whoa:

$30 CND for a pully and $120 CND for a water pump for example is cheaper than the EBAY prices on the non-OEM brands!

Is that the only Mitusbishi dealer in Cowtown? I don't want to hijack this thread but I was in Calgary 3 weeks ago and blew my clutch slave cylindar. They wanted to charge me $249 for the cylindar, $40 to air it overnight from Red Deer (wtf???), and minimum 4-5 hours labor to put it in!!!!!!

I don't know if they quoted me a master instead of slave, but that would still be getting bent over!!!

Has anyone else purchased there and been satisfied/hosed? Just don't want the same thing to happen to another member...I ended up driving home clutchless....that was interesting!

No, there is another dealer (Platinum) up north. I've been very satisfied with my parts purchases, although I haven't had any service done. Are you sure you were talking to a Mitsu dealership? These guys wouldn't bring parts in from Red Deer (there's no dealer there), their stuff comes straight from the States.

I think they were sourcing the part through a dodge dealership...but I don't remember which one....

It was a big confusing ordeal as nobody seemed to know what was going on!

Mine has been acting up too, so i priced the parts out here in Toronto. Mitsu was 60% the price of the Dodge dealer i went to originally.

Master: $140
Slave: $90
Booster: $280.

Yah...it was probably the Dodge dealer then because they were going to rape me!

I wound up buying the slave for $78+tax and installing it myself...it took me 1/2 hour which included me bleeding the clutch of all old oil and putting in new stuff. (it also included me cleaning my K&N filter...but not putting it back on)

Just goes to show...if you want something done right...at the right price...you gotta do it yourself!!!

UPDATE #2:

Craig is no longer with them, so I'm guessing we'll have to set up something new? I ai'nt gettin no discount anymore..

SpeedFreakSteve

Just about every dealership will give you a 10% discount if you ask for it. I've dealt with two different places here (Thornhill and Markham).

When they are getting ready to do up my bill I just say "I get the 10% DSM discount right?" and they have discounted my stuff every time.

The Markham parts manager told me just to ask for a Club DSM discount since thats something that every other dealer knows about.

Ya I heard about the 15% that they give.. pretty good, but I'm still not driving to Burlington for the extra 5%. ;)

Hmm, I'd heard he was thinking of leaving. Shouldn't affect the ability to get 15% off but I'll swing by there this weekend and make sure. ;)

I picked up the oil cooler lines for my TT, and received the DSM 15% discount. Damn good thing, cuz it was still pretty expensive for 2 rubber hoses.

Just to add to the list:

For those of you in Toronto and GTA area looking for parts:

I needed an O2 sensor and dropped into North Toronto Mitsubishi. While I was there, I was talking to Jose' Sarte, the Parts and Service Manager. I found him to be real nice and helpful. I mentioned our club and asked if he would consider giving us a discount on parts. He said he would start us out at 10% and if he received enough sales from us, would up it to 15%. So if you need any parts, speak to Jose' and mention you are a member of Canada 3si!

They are located at 7079 Yonge Street, on the east side, just north of Steeles Ave. This was probably the Thornhill one Steve was talking about. You can reach Jose' at 905-763-3688 or jsarte@awin.ca.

BTW, he had the O2 sensor in stock and wanted $93.00 for it before the discount. Another Mitsu dealer in the GTA didn't have it in stock and quoted me $110.00! Shop around...

Excellent! :)

Just an update, we still have a nice 15% discount at Hyatt and I saved a bundle on my timing belt parts. :D

Yeah, when you add in the "no-PST" that Alberta gets plus the 15% discount, plus they now will ship via Greyhound Hyatt is pretty hard to beat. I'll be placing an order later this summer myself it seems...

I just bought some parts off of Jose' (pronounced with an H), and he upped the discount for us to 15%! :)

You can reach him at 905-763-3688 or jsarte@mitsubishinorth.com. Just tell him that Tom Wilson sent you and you are a member of Canada 3SI Club.

One of my caps has some leakage and I'm hoping to cure my bucking with a new one.

I want a new one for peace of mind and turnaround time.

I called West Side first as I have been using them for the last couple of years(They F up at least one thing in each order but I find that everywhere and they are convenient for me-being in the West.)

I got a FNG who quoted me $1746. I suspect that is without the "for those who ask" 10% discount, as I forgot to ask for it.(being my regular shop)
Minus the 10% puts them at $1571.

I called Great West then and they wanted $2134. I only called them because I though West Side was high.

South Side was next. I talked to Phil McCleary, the parts manager, and was quoted $1430 with the 10% discount. So I ordered it.
