Does this site not have anyone acting as a moderator?

Why are we allowing garage Criff and Midnight to hijack our Car for Sale site by placing 7 fraudulent cars for sale ads there....and these jerks just keep doing it

Won't somebody on this site do SOMETHING???? SOON!!!!!

I've emailed one of the Admins to bring it to his attention. Just be patient.

I don't really see how they're doing anything wrong. They're just posting they have cars for sale. You don't trust they really do have cars for sale? Then don't buy from them. I agree, they are becomming a bit annoying. If they continue to post multiple threads like that a day, then i will delete them, and ask them to compact them into one thread.

If you actually read their ads carefully, you will see that none of the "created" cars are ones they actually have for sale.

Its more like: if you like this, we will go and find one similar for you.

Maybe YOU should read their ads more closely rather than deleting MY thread asking if there are any serious buyers on this site.

Their ads are completely bogus and they simply don't have any cars for sale. Nobody here, except a rare few would even entertain buying sight unseen from Japan. I've bought about 15 cars on eBay and I've never been screwed but I would never send my money to Japan and expect a pristine car in return....Incidently thats absolutely nothing against the Japanese, they designed our cars, its about unscrupulous "middle men" who but their used cars and wholesale them back to North America.

i never deleted any of you threads. not that i can remember anyway. if they're bothering everyone that much i'll take care of it.

I think they are just bothering Nightflyer. I like to see what they can get from Japan. And I know of other people that are the same.

Given that every car they post doesn't exist, the whole thing is made up.

Write down the best car with the best options at the most amazing price, cut and paste a pic from anywhere and then advertise it. Then you think that you can actually get that car? Come on, you are not that naiive, are you?

Do you not get it that the cars they advertize are not real? They are 100% made up. They fill space and nothing more.

I have a real VR4 twin turbo and its a fantastic car; AND its for sale and its the real deal here in Canada. Its on the road and legal and licensed. And amazingly enough, there has not been 1 question about the car after over 300 ad viewings? And I get criticised about saying this site is full of tire kickers?

Most of the active members here are owners, and even if they weren't forums are not the best place to sell vehicles...

Try Kijiji or Canadatrader.com

Over the past 18 years I have owned 1 Stealth TT bought brand new and two VR4 TTs. Add 5 Porsches and 6 Audi Quattros.

My point is that if you love a brand, you keep working in it: getting better cars, buying trading and upgrading.

This site is filled with WATCHERS and WANNABEES. Steath and Mitsu FWD cars are a dime a dozen and they are slow and unsophisticated. To me, anything other than a Twin Turbo AWD is a wanna be. I know that this stance will aggravate everyone but the real deal with these cars is 300++hp and all wheel drive. The rest of the flock are similar looking cars without the goods.

So for all you guys who throw THOUSANDS into your FWD cars, get over it: get the real deal and have some fun.

So now you guys can beat me up something aweful!!!

I'm ready: I have a 375bhp Twin Turbo with all 4 wheels a smoking!!!!!

Hey Nightflyer,

How good are you with these cars and how close are you to London?! Man I could use some help with my '92 R/T TT! It's been an ongoing headache for the last 2 months trying to get it running right and pass the e-test!

I do agree, the best way to go is the AWD, TT model! But everyone has their preference, although I never understood the FWD TT conversion, too much power for FWD in my opinion! lol

Wow, you`re actually serious too, lol. So all your porsches must have been 911 turbo. `cause a carrera or a 944 or any other model besides the 911 turbo is a wannabe too, according to your statement.

And line your car up next to a FWD TT with the same amount of power. You`d be very dissapointed with your car, unless you went from a dead stop, and even then, he`ll come back and get you FAST!

I am not sure what you are reading but I am speaking of the Stealth- Mitsubishi range of cars;

For the time required, money spent, performance developed, the Twin Turbo is the only one of these cars that is worth investing huge sums of money in.

Equally, twin turbo FWD conversions are hugely expensive, doomed to powertrain failure and makes me really wonder WHY??

I think that drag racing these cars is really foolish too. Over my years on this site, the drag racers break their cars continually: these are road cars, not dragsters. After 15 years of instructing high performance driving on road course race tracks [and holding a National Competition Licence for 25 + years] that is the place where skill, ability and balance really comes out.

I think a monkey can rev an engine to 6500rpm and dump the clutch and see what happens....zero skill in that, unless its in how to load one of these on a trailer after blowing up the drivetrain....

LOL, you make no sense. I was speaking of the porsche range as well, stating that the 944 (turbo too), boxster, and all the other bitch cars porsche made, are wannabe as well. Same exact thing as what you're saying about the 3S. What's the point right? Go big or go home. But unfrotunatly not everyone can afford a 911 turbo. So they opt for carrera's or the boxsters. SAME THING WITH THE 3S. Plus, it's about beeing unique for alot of these guys, doing something that hasn't been done, that's the thrill for them. Developing something new. Like putting a montero block in a VR-4 and slapping two turbo's to it. Some people like to fabricate, some people like pre-fab. who are we to critisize?

And drag racing is just fun. It's easy, it's simple, and it's fun. I agree with you though on the racing part. Road course does require much much much more skill, and wayyyyyyy more fun and exciting. But again, not everyone can afford such a hobby.

I'll give you a shout when i pick up my '96 911TT. :D

That is the year they widened the body, added twin turbo's and a six speed. Also, it was hand built. Awesome. I own a supercharged 911 with 505hp. Damn nice car. I respect everyone that loves sports cars, and I agree, we can't always afford the best. I really appreciate the guys that save up and buy 3000gt's and slowly convert them. It's damn nice to see the amount of effort they put into them. My fist car was a 1990 ford Mustang with a 4 banger in it. It was an 11 second car when I sold it. I cost me a lot more in the end, but it was lots:) :D of fun building.

You have to remember what it was like not to be able to afford a vr4. I realize it cost more money (about triple) to convert them, but these guys are everyday blue collar workers, and they can't afford better. I think it's awesome they are trying to make a nice sports car on a limited budget. Never could figure out or relate to a mini van. I love this site, and I hope more people join. All to often members say they are having a kid and there car is for sale. Don't sell!

That's the one car that when i see it, i can tell RIGHT AWAY that's is's a 96 TT. There's one here in ottawa, black, sick looking. And the plate reads a beautifull "96 TT", sounds nice too. They cost almost the same as a brand new 2010 911 turbo. Man what a car. I'd take that over the 9ff even.

And yes, i agree that building up and playing around with your car is alot of fun, and you learn so much in he process too.

Alright, we've gona way off topic, lol.

You're STILL complaining? When a member provided legit info, i did do something about it. You on the other hand, did nothing but complain. This board is not moderated. We do not have moderators. I do a bit here and there. My main "JOB" is to PAY for this, not to moderate, 'cause there really isn't much need for moderating.

My only complaint EVER was that you allowed bogus ads to run and then they entered them, or ones like them over and over.....and over

It took sticking your proverbial face in that mess to come alive and do something. And you did!!! Bonus...

For me, this site after 8+ years, offers nothing I need. Too many tire kickers and time wasters. I cancelled my ad and will head off into the sunset and enjoy my VR4 TT without needing what this place has to offer

Thanks for the memories

I didn't do something about it because of you, i did something about it because a legit member provided legit info PROVING it was fraud. i wasn't gona do anything about it because you said so.

Anyway, enjoy your vr-4. Later

All this arguing reminds me of the US 3/S site! :)

Us Canadians are much too nice to put down each other's cars. We are here to support each other (says the guy with the FWD Stealth...).

All that aggression must have been imported from the US, along with the VR4. ;)

Why go with a FWD? :

- they cost less to buy
- they cost less to insure
- you can get them with an automatic transmission (I'm too lazy to shift)
- 99% of people that look at them can't tell the difference between them and a TT version, nor do they know that a difference exists.

If you don't go to the track, there's nothing you can do with a TT that you can't do with an NA, that won't get you charged with stunt driving (in Ontario anyway). We just ain't allowed to have fun with our cars on the road anymore... :(

I certainly hope not.. I paid with Paypal when someone here was soliciting for money for the board, We were presented with the fees and I paid 2 years worth .. Was I scammed? (feeling a little nieve now.lol.)

Oh yeah, i think i remember something about that. That was shdwfax i think that did that. He wanted to renew the liscense for the board, and it was 200 bucks. I'd paid it once or twice already, and he suggested asking the board if anyone wanted to contribute. I think he renewed the liscense, not sure. But hey, thank you very much for you generousity. I'm thanking you a little late, but thanks. And no, you didn't get scammed, LOL. At least i hope not.

Guys,

We need to ad some credibility to this site.
We have an adminstrator who spells like he is in grade 5 and can't actually moderate much here

Bogus ads, nobody buying, sometimes I wonder whats the point at all.
Come on Crazey, proof your copy: lead at least a little bit.

STEALTHFAN says that there is no difference on the road between a n/a and a TT. This guy is delusional. If a n/a automatic is his hearts desire, fantastic but don't insult those of us with 350+++bhp and awd/4ws and suggest that the cars are no different...

Because the $$$ difference is so small, I personally would not waste 30 seconds looking at an n/a auto. There are 5 Twin Turbo cars a month on ebay that can be had for under $5,000...I know because I have bought three of them....You just need to be patient and know how to dialogue with the owner. There are secrets to the eBay process, in case you hadn't realized that yet!

I'm not writting an essay for english class here. if i make one or two little typos, i don't think it's a big deal. Most people with half a brain could understand what i was attempting to write. Ever since you joind this board all you've done is god damn complain/ it's always complaining because nobody is buying what you're selling.

This board never needed to be moderated until YOU. YOU are the only person that needs to be moderated. If i ran the board as strict as you'd want it, your ass would be banned by now. I'm not replying to any of your retarded messages, because they obviously have nothing constructive in them. Actually i think i get a bit dumber everytime i get done reading one of them.

You seems to be a good guy when we talked, but seeing how you keep nailing on Crazey piss me off! This guy is the reason why we can post here, I do not want you to bother him to the point he's gonna close the board.

I suggest to use another approach if you have an disagrement, because it's not constructive.

I was writting it the way i'd say it, in a slang way, it's pretty obvious too, lol. Like instead of writting OUI, i would write it OUIN, 'cause that's how we say it in qubec. So stop trying to sound smart.

I'm amazing, you're a tool. At least we agree on something.
