Meeting at Peter's Drive-in on 16th ave.
Park in the large overflow parking area behind Peter's - west side of the lot farthest from the 7-11/Mr. Lube.

alright guys, so it has finally stopped raining and snowing every day. seems to me that we should meet up!

its been a while but i know we have a lot of members so lets get something organized.

lets round up the calgary crew and meet up at peters (the burger joint on 16th ave) again. works well since they have a big parking lot and it lets people mingle and check out the rides. also... they have awesome milkshakes haha.

we have a pretty good spectrum of age groups so peters wont exclude anybody either in case some members arent legal yet or if people want to bring their kid etc.

everyone is welcome whether youre a brand new member or the original owner since 1990. hell, you dont even need to have one of these cars! as long as youre interested and want to meet up, youre free to come along.

this is a great chance to meet other owners, see what people are doing, ask questions, share knowledge, get help, and shoot the breeze. always lots of fun, especially since you dont see these cars around very often. everyone is always friendly so i guarantee a good time haha.

so... whos interested in coming out??
anybody have a preference for dates? i was thinking last week of july, but i think that might be a long weekend (people are often out of town).

i dont know what happened to those slackers in edmonton and red deer etc, but they are awful at getting organized for meets. if we can get some decent interest from the rest of alberta (i know theyre out there) then we can do another alberta meet as well. this has traditionally been a cruise to sylvan lake. maybe we can do a bbq.

so, if youre outside of calgary and want to meet up and do a cruise, post up and let me know!

i will try to organize another alberta cruise either way, but our route and destination will depend on where people are coming from. no need to drive up and meet in red deer if all the members are from southern alberta!

I would love to have another meet. as for a date, I work a ton and my schedule is very unpredictable, but i'm sure something can be worked out. End of july would probable work nicely. I'll stay updated as this progresses. Bring a 3/S this time surreal?

A Peter's shake; that might just be enough incentive to get my major tuneup done and get the car back on the road for the summer. Sounds great to me! :cool:

Ill try its my buddy's bachelor party in Vegas that weekend but I'm starting a new job on the 26th so I probably wont make it to Vegas. if that's the case then yeah I'm free for the 1st.

i was on schedule to have it done in time for the meet but managed to blow up my dd a few days ago which has now set me waaay behind schedule!
very frustrating. hopefully i can throw everything back together in time, but i dunno now. :(

pretty soon nobody at these meets will even believe that i own a 3s anymore haha. sometimes it feels like i need to quit my job so that i can work full time on my cars...

None of these are viable options obviously but you should definitely bring one. I believe this will be your fourth meet without a 3/s that i have been to. Why ruin a perfect record? :D You have 6 days, work hard!

unfortunately it would be a miracle if i had the car on the road by sunday now :(

either way, it will be good motivation for me to see everyones rides. if theres interest, ill setup a cruise maybe in aug and ill at least have my 3s for that.

i dont need a meet... i need a support group. all of my projects always end up expanding after i start and i cant stop. this damn gto was just supposed to be a stock for stock engine swap!

oh well, got my flywheel back today so at least i have one item that i can put back on rather than take off! haha

Well my fuel pump seems to have been taking a dump on me, first with the car not starting and only starts when a wire is plugged into the fuel pump bypass behind the battery to the positive terminal(Thanks to Tim for support over the phone). Today I went out to take the car for a short drive but now it starts then immediately dies, I ordered a Supra pump, hotwire kit, and 3sx FPR+Gauge+loop deal, I had it shipped express but if I don't get that stuff by tomorrow I probably won't be able to get the coilovers installed or be able to come out to the meet with it, damn! She likes to play hard to get.

At the meet we were throwing around the idea of a day trip to red deer for the AWD dyno later this summer. Nothing is set in stone but I really like the idea personally.

I love the idea! If it can be planned anytime outside of Aug. 16-22 and Aug. 29 - Sept. 5th I would be pumped to go see what my car's actual HP is and actually get it tuned to the max :)

i had originally wanted to go with the dyno in red deer but i have been pretty unimpressed with them so far. we are just using their dyno so i wasnt too concerned about the things i have heard abut their shop/work, but it took many many emails before they would even reply.

anyway, they are still an option. i have pricing from a few others as well worst case.

so theres lots of interest, but this happened a couple years ago too haha.
need to see who is serious and will actually show up before i start booking things :)

the number of people that wanna come will affect the pricing.
i would say expect $120-165 to get on the dyno and do a few pulls
if people want to get on the dyno and rent it out to tune as well, please let me know.
we may simply be able to rent the dyno out by the hour for our group if thats simpler/cheaper.

if we can get people out to this, i think it would be loads of fun for a meet! :D
