I just installed an AEM digital boost gauge and it doesn't read any vacuum?! If I disconnect the line and blow/suck on it, the gauge will read. I took it for a spin and it is only reading about 5 lbs of boost.
So I am geussing I have a bad leak somewhere?!
sounds like it, do you have a meter to test your vac lines?
do you have the intake pressure tester on a side note?
if you ever want to come out to my place and this goes for anyone on the board you are more than welcome. Still learning a lot but i have tools now at least to try to figure things out.
I'm in brantford area, 20 minutes on the london side of brantford actually.

I just ordered the intake pressure tester from 3sx yesterday

wondering now if I am using the wrong vacuum line to read from? Which one is the best line to t-off from?
i'm done the vac reduction so i use the line i have coming off the rear of the upper plenum.

yep tee off the plenum. you can use the fpr line (although i dont like to).
do you have a boost controller?
are you sure you arent actually running 5/6psi? gauge might not be wrong; thats wg boost.

I am gonna try to move the t-off to another line in the morning and see what that does.
No MBC.. have one ordered, should be in next week! :D

And we have vacuum! Usually helps when I use the right vacuum line! :p
I still have to take for a drive to see what kind of boost I am making, I will find out tomorrow!
woohoo, good luck on your drive

So had the car out for the Bothwell Car Show today
Gauges seem to work ok but I am only pulling 6-7 lbs of boost and at idle I have 20 inHg.... so I geuss I wait till next week and use the boost tester and check for leaks!
