So, when I first bought my N/A RT (I wanted an automatic / yeah, I know, so I'm a wuss...), I thought the differences were:
Turbo
All wheel drive
All wheel steering
Stock wheels
Upon further investigation, I'm finding that the brakes and exhaust are different as well. Are there any other differences? Are the internals on the DOHC engine the same?

No, the internals are diffrent as well. The compression on a TT is lower than on an n/a, so it has diffrent pistons.

Then the intake system is diffrnet (naturally, lol). Wheels size and tire size, drivetrain, And i beleive that's it.

How could anyone forget weight!!!!! :D

The TT has ECS (electronically controlled suspension), but I don't know if the RT does. Hence, slightly different springs.

Oh ya, gas mileage...

well it's only logical that if you remove the driveshaft, the rear differential, the beefy tranny for a slimmer one, the two intercoolers, the two turbo's, the intercooler piping, and all the elctronic crap that it'll weigh less.:p

But if you think about it, the n/a doesn't way all THAT much less, considering all of what it's stripped of. Maybe it's just me though.

My RT does have ECS. It also has ABS, but I don't think it has traction control.
Does the TT have a tuned exhaust and if so, what the hell does that mean?
I think the RT weighs 3354 lbs and the TT 3792 lbs. That's a lot of hardware!

Tuned exhaust, is the active exhaust. Basically all it does is change the tone of the exhaust with the touch of a button. You can make jt loud or quiet. That's all it is, does nothing really performance wise.

The big difference is, EXCITEMENT. AWD Ownz

TT AWD Bigot! :p
Although my RT has a rather disappointing 0-100km (which I hope to remedy with future mods), it certainly doesn't suck in top speed. My regular cruising speed on the highway is 160kmph, and my top speed was 220kmph (so what if I was going downhill at the time ). That is more than enough power to get me into trouble. I can't imagine the trouble I'd get into with another 100 HP on tap, although I must admit a supercharger add on looks pretty tempting!:)

So much hate.. We are all one big happy DSM family here.

I actually don't consider my car to be "fast" anymore anyway. After riding my crotch rocket, the R/T TT feels like a minivan.

When I switch mine from tour to sport, I don't notice any difference in the noise level, but I can certainly hear the electrical switch moving beneath the rear seats.

According to the owner's manual
Setting the switch to TOUR mode automatically reduces engine exhaust noise below 3500rpm for quieter driving and the indicator will illuminate in the instrument cluster.
Setting it to SPORT mode unleashes the full power of the engine for peak performance

I keep mine in SPORT simply becuz I hate seeing the light on the dash.

Come on man, you know we're not DSM's, LOL.

And the active exhaust gets stuck on most cars, almost all cars i've seen but one. On the muffler, there is a wire attacked to a metal piece, wiggle that piece free, it's probably seized. THe sound you hear, is the motor.

I love my sound, but obviously I'm going to have to work that little wire on the muffler to hear the difference between the two. Ah, the weekend.....:D

Of course, another difference between the RT and TT is insurance rates. I recall when I got my RT, my agent said that I'd be paying about 50% more for a TT! :whoa:

This got me to wondering about interior differences and what the NA's have where our boost guage is? (the last guage in the middle cluster of three.)

Starting from the steering wheel, the RT's have engine temp., oil pressure, then voltage.
