I finally got some pictures of my 3000GT which I have dubbed Derpy, given its unfortunate headlight problem when I first bought it.

If it looks bad, that is because it is. I've gone through three cans of urethane-safe paint remover while attempting to remove the green paint. Then the silver paint. Then the red paint. Then the white paint. Once that is complete, then I have a couple very minor rust spots to touch up. They are all hidden beneath where the side skirts are supposed to be, so it's more to keep it from spreading. Then everything is getting spray painted and put back on.

The last two pictures are me experimenting with colours on a spare fender. I thought this purple would be deeper. The first picture is gloss, the second is matte. I'm still not sure what colour I will go with. Matte black is used a lot, but it also hides overlapping spray a lot more easily. Now if I could afford a professional paintjob, it would be candy orange!

You've got that right. I'm beyond broke at the moment, so many unexpected things with this car.

with a little bit of paint she will be looking good again!
purple could actually look quite nice.

We'll see. I am going to pick up a couple different colours to experiment with and then go from there. :)

Wow it really kills me to see a car abused like that. Especially a VR-4, I mean new that car was almost 50 grand! Poor baby, hope you nurse her back to full health soon. I'm glad it sounds like she's finally found a good home.
Can't wait to see some after pics!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I took the interior to the carwash today to soak the carpets and scrub them. They're drying now and I hope to spray around the doors whatever colour I pick, then get the interior back in. Then we'll see how it goes!

I'll have to take pictures of the latest mod to my car. Was working with a friend and his Mastercraft "M" logo came off of his toolkit. So now I have the M logo where the diamonds should be on the front. :D At least until I get more paint stripper to finish cleaning the bumper and repaint it.
