Bill 241 Section 172.2 MOT
"New section 172.2 prohibits driving a motor vehicle with a prescribed part, containing a prescribed substance or equipped with prescribed equipment. The regulations will prescribe parts, substances and equipment that are commonly used in racing."
Looks like the ministry is trying to stop the use of any aftermarket part put on vehicles. Exhaust, tires, electronics etc . The regulation does not state type of part making this an open ended legislation at the discression of the cops.
It dosent even exclude trucks. Our government at work here folks. Check this out and pass it around to the speed shops and garages.
This bill is in First Reading. Lest get out and voice our opinion on this.

Holy Shit! By the time I got to the end of that, I felt like I was reading Marx's Communist Manifesto. What kind of government have you elected in Ontario? The ruling party dictating what you can drive, and dictating how you have to maintain your vehicle, doctor's contacting the DOT if a person isn't in perfect physical health. I'm never goin home....

That version was dropped about a month ago due to extreme pressure from auto entheusists and the auto industry.

However, a new version has surfaced that is much more specific. The orginal c.241 was supposed to be just for nitrous, but never specifcally said it. The new one specifically states open nitrous bottles on the street, or with remote openers or within arms reach are illegal. Along with tougher street racing laws and speeding in construction zone fines etc. I have read a portion, and it seems on the up and up. But we will see what happens and what the remaining says later.
