The exhaust tips on my car are in poor condition... I guess they were supposed to be chrome.. could never tell now! Had a peek under the back end.. the tips just look like they bolt on...
This is a stock active exhaust setup..
Can I just unbolt the tips and put on some new ones?
Where is the best place to pick up some replacements.. I'd like to keep the stock look.. are bolt patterns all the same?

I bought my car with a tip missing, thinking i was going to replace the exhaust shortly after buying it, but when that didnt happen, i just went to  Crappy Tire  and got four short slant-cut stainless tips and stuck them on. like 7 bucks each or something. didnt look like a show car, but better than before, and people would ask me "hey man, what kind of exhaust is that?"
The thing is, you need shorter screws than the ones that come with it, because our piping is bigger than a typical cavalier or Jetta that they would go on, and the screws stick way out. This way, you can get 4 new ones, for the price of one stock replacement. :)
Oh, ya, the ones you have on now should just have a (2?) screw holding them to the car, but they will no doubt be very rusted and will take some "gentle coaxing" to come off :p
you should be able to find some used OEM ones around here or on 3SI
