I did the front end my self, I do all the work on the car. I don't want anyone else touching it :P I haven't been to the track this year, so I don't know what I will run. My clutch is dead right now and I'm in the process of getting a RPS 2 street disk clutch. The car was making too much power and destroyed the last one in under 20,000km.

new engine should be going in any day now. SHould get it dyno'd as soon as speedstyle gets their dynapack whatever its called. Also installing the EGR blockoff plates, 8lbs dynabatt, 8" Filter and a bunch of other shit before i break deep into the 11's!! running at 20PSI i predict MID 11's since its nice and cool and we are so close to ocean level :)

japspec engine
15 g turbos
550 cc injectors
super afc
supra fuel pump
eibach springs (not installed yet)
egr blockoffs (not installed yet)
custom downpipe/ exhaust mandrel bent
dynabatt
turboxs h-rfl blowoff valve
custom feramic/organic clutch

I got consistent 12.1's last time I ran, untuned at 15PSI. I really expect mid to high 11's @ 20PSI with the new engine installed.

did the EGR Blockoff plates make a big difference for you?

you should seriously consider getting msn!

I noticed that the intake stayed alot cooler with the block offs insalled. before it would be very hot to touch, after it was about the same temperature as the walls around the engine bay , just a few C's about ambiant temps.

How much are the EGR block offs? Why not just bust apart a metal electrical outlet box, trace an EGR gasket, cut and drill it to fit? Barely an hours work by my estimate.
Sorry, not trying to show anyone up...I just need to up my post numbers!

I actualy used aluminum from a pop can to make my EGR block offs. They hold up just fine against the heat, and are almost the same thikness as the gasket.

crazykid, I know someone who will buy these parts off you if the price is right. Will you be willing to get these parts shipped to Newfoundland? I think there are some smaller trucking companies that make weekly runs back & forth from Ontario to Newfoundland weekly, I'll check them out. How much do you think shipping may be? What do you want for the parts.

Thanks
Mike

I have no problem at all shipping them to you in NFLD. I can ship the hood by purolator. I got a quote before to ship it to maryland and it was $125 canadian to do so. I would like to get $300 canadian for the hood and around $150 for both pop-ups and the little bra to go with them. The hood from the dealer is over $1000 canadian and the pop-ups are close to $600 a peice!! Let me know. Thanks.

Are there any downsides to blocking off the EGR? How does it change driveability/performance?

I heard you'd fail an emissions check but luckily we don't have them in Manitoba.
