Lol...
how long has it been...
cause stock recommended plugs are NGK Platinum....and they last around 100,000 K...well they say it does...
Change your wires too while you're in there. Plugs and wires. I never had a huge problem, but when i changed my plugs, OH MAN, it was MUCH smoother under boost.
And you're gona have to regap our plugs too!! That's the easiest part though, 30 seconds a plug tops to regap.

Yes...
When you drive your car over time you lose performance due to plugs...but it's hard for the principal driver to notice....but once you change your plugs.....you'll realize what you've been missing....

OK i didnt go up north this weekend so i finally have a weekend free and this is what i have planned to do..
my dads got that gap tool thingy for the plugs so that shouldnt be too hard and it says right in the manual what to gap them to.
also im gunna change the rear brake pads cause there squeeky
and another thing...I forget what post it was but someone was complaining about oil in the Y-pipe??? i was curious so i checked my Y-pipe and it was bone dry! is this a good thing???

Wow...no oil in the y-pipe...
I think that is an excellent thing no?
It's usual for our cars to get some oil squeezed through certain seals due to pressure etc....but it must be pretty good if you don't have any...

^good to hear!
i was jsut wondering cause everyone else was talkin about having oil in there Y-pipe i didnt....i guess to prev owner must of replaced some gaskets and seals...cause there is traces that there was oil in there but looks like it has been dried up.

Remember if you plan on raising the boost at all, gap the plugs down to.. well i guess it depends on what pressure you plan on running. You dont want to go through all that, then next month raise the boost, and the same problem will come back, and you will have to pull them again, and re-gap.
Just something to keep in mind :)

i changed my plugs and WOW its like driving w/a new engine in there!!!:whoa:
my old plugs were so bad pf shape the white/ceramic part was burned to a brown color!!!
i put in Accel Red spark plug wires too..are these any good? lol they looked like the best ones Crappy tire had

What is your boost gauge needle doing at the time?
My injector seals were BADLY cracked, and my boost would studder, (ie: start boosting, then the needle would sort of jump around and you would hear a few pops before boosting further.)
ALso as mentioned check your plugs and wires. Could just be spark plug blow out.

^lol nothing like that!
i already checked my injector seals and they look good.
the minute i changed my plugs power was restored and boost was back to normal
oh ya get this!
when i took off my Y-pipe to change the plugs the fucking rubber insert is held on by 4 zip-ties!
wtf man!?!? the bloody prev owner is obsessed w/zipe fucking ties! if i find any more of these goddamn things im giving him a call!
