Okay, I've poured through the 3si forum for hours to collect as much info as possible on the 99 front end conversion and I'm pretty sure I know what parts are needed.
Now I need to hear from Canadians that have done the conversion.
My main question is, where did you buy the parts? Local Mitsu dealer? US Mitsu dealer? Wreckers? I'd prefer to find parts in Canada if possible.
Then, did you run into any problems (especially 1st gen converters). Any problems fitting parts? Any problems getting parts? Any little extra parts needed? If 1st gen., did you trim the headlight buckets, or weld in new 2nd gen buckets?
I plan to do the conversion this winter, so I'd love to hear your stories now!
Thanks in advance.
I haven't done the conversion but I plan to do it at some point too. 3SX has a pretty good FAQ and pictures as well as prices and seem to make it look easy. :)

If u are in alberta or ontario, there will be easy to order 99 conversion~
U can look at the thread about ordering in Alberta Mitsubishi~
With the discount, it is much cheaper than 3sx and i think it would be the cheapest place to get 99 conversion since alberta doesn't have pst :)
In ontario, burlington mitsubishi gives 15% off the original price which also is almost the cheapest in eastern canada
Hope it helps

Nick84 - I'm aware of 3SX's package. I think it is missing alot of the small stuff though (brackets, bolts, seals, etc.). Also, ordering from the US will be my last resort. (shipping would probably be brutal on the hood and bumper!)
SuperFerrari - Thanks for the info on the Canadian Mitsu dealers. I'll have to check their prices. I could drive to Burlington and save the shipping costs on the big stuff.
vr4boost - Where did you get your parts? Are you doing the install yourself?
Thanks for the info guys! Is there anyone else out there that has done the conversion? Crazykid?

I'll be interested in seeing the bucket cutting pictures. I'm not sure if I should do that or get the 99 buckets.
If you could let us know what ALL the parts you need where, that would be a great help. I've heard that there are lots of fiddly bits needed that no one ever mentions.
Thanks to everyone for the information so far!
Anyone else have conversion info or stories?
