Hi guys,
Just wondering what you thought a reasonable price for a 93 TT would be?
A friend of mine is planning on selling a white (black interior) TT with 127,000 KM. It is in great condition.
I'm thinking somewhere around 18K.
Scott
a '92 tt was sold at the dodge dealer hear last year for $20,000
My friend in ottawa sold his 95 RT/TT with 80k on it i think for 24k a year and a half ago.

From hearing all this i think that i got a pretty good deal on my lemon.
Got it just before last winter, so over a year ago, with 87,ooo km, for.....let me look it up here....$17,185.00 on Nov 23 2001.
Wait, that was after all the cert. and admin charges. the total vehicle sale price was $16,595.00
Now that would have been a great deal if shortly after that, i didnt have to fix the water pump, timing belt, power steering, blah, blah.......

i wouldnt even sell it cert. for $18,000.
I just bought my white 95 TT for $19,000. It only has 92,000km's on it.
I bought my for 16,000 94 Red TT 100,000 k on then .

Wow Malice, that's an amazing price for a '95. I haven't seen one like that!!! Score!
So it seems that some of you have gotten a really good deal. This car is SOOO clean, but maybe a bit lower might be better, say 17K???
I found it on AutoTrader. They were originally asking for $21,995. I asked what they would go down to and the guy said $22,000, I said "sorry to waste your time" and almost made it to the door before he asked what I was willing to pay. I said $19,000 and the rest is history.
I just wish I would have it by now as it has been nearly 3 weeks since I put my deposit on it and still no car. I have had issues with the safetying of the car. It needed springs, and the guy had a hard time finding them. I sent him to Darkside Racing to get a set of Sprint springs which found out are now discontinued. So they had to get H&R's instead (dealer pays :) ). The springs were supposedly sent out last Tuesday (the 4th of Feb), but still have not arrived.
I am getting very annoyed, as I want my car. I have blown about $2800 on parts already. The car is very clean, inside and out. Ran great when I drove it, but in order to safety the car they needed those bloody springs.
I am not a patient man normally, and this is wearing on me.

Actually, I paid exactly what my car was worth. I did some searches and stuff and found a website that gave retail values. I actually paid $500 more then what the website suggested.
For a 93 with those miles I wouldn't pay more then $15,500.

I guess it's just supply and demand... Plus at this time of year, things are slow...
I'd love to see it when you get it delivered...
Oh, btw, why didn't you get a set of Intrax while you were looking for springs? You're going to do it soon anyway... (do the H&R's lower at all, because the wheel gap is retardedly huge on our cars).

The H&R's lower the car about 1.5 inches, which is decent. Plus they are a very good name.
Intrax I am leary of, plus you need a camber kit. I am not paying for this as it is all part of the certification by the dealer. The previous owner cut the springs to lower the car (ghetto), so in order for the dealer to certify/safety the car they must replace the springs.
He originally called me a couple weeks back saying he couldn't find springs, and asked if I would do the work to get them. I said no, and gave him DSR number. He ordered them, and now I am waiting.
Otherwise the car comes pre-modded. It has a K&N intake, a catback (not sure what kind, but I will find out), and cross-drilled brakes.
I have ordered so far the following:
SAFC (which is sold already)
Greddy Profec eo-1
Greddy emanage
Greddy Type-S BOV
Apex-i turbo timer
3kgt short shifter
walboro fuel pump
stainless steel rad pipe
DSR stock size lightened pulley
and as part of the payment for the SAFC I am getting a DN ypipe (plus a few bucks).
Not bad for not even having the car yet :o
edit *** I forgot to add that I think it has an upgraded clutch, as I nearly broke my leg trying to push it down when I first took it out for a test drive..lol

Wow... You've got a ton of stuff going on there. I only wish I had the dollars to spend :(
The H&R's sound good. You don't "have" to get a camber kit with Intrax, but it may be recommended. They will be a bit out of spec, but will be close -- and they are cheaper (of course, you aren't the one paying like I was when I bought my Intrax).
THe mods look great!
The Car going to be great from the looks of things . As soon as you get it on the road send some pic's.

I have my car in the shop in London getting the water pump, clutch and timing belt .. and it's going to hurt.

Once I get it maybe we can hook up, grab a pint or something.

My brother lives out there.

I know where that country style is. I am further east, towards Lindsay (I say port perry as more people know that over Blackstock). I don't work in Pickering (even though I used to work at the Nuke plant in pickering), I just catch the go train from there. I am back at my parents for a bit (saving to buy a house), and I commute with them. They work at the Nuke plant.
I grew up in the south end, right by the lake :D If you know oshawa at all, you should know the area (or at least it's rep).
The car is pearl white, with chrome rims (stock 18's). It's got the black leather interior and all the goodies.
I know Blackstock . The South end I feel for you .
Good luck with the house shopping .
As soon as the weather good and your car is ready let tear up the roads.

It looked black? It could be charcoal  but i only saw it in bad lighting.
Oh, and it is now 22 days and counting since I got the loan, and 2 weeks and counting on the delivery of the springs. I am losing patience with every passing second.
