Last year we had a few of these gatherings but looks like there haven't been any this year.
Sunday Sept 7 at 12:00 noon.
I was thinking we do what some of us did before...
Meet at the Loblaws down on Queens Quay/Lower Jarvis, check out our cars, chat a bit, take some pics and then drive around the docks and lakeshore area. We can do a Yonge St. cruise or we can take another route, Maybe Lakeshore? Then grab a drink or bite somewhere.
Anyone up for it?

Yeah, I'd be down for that. I haven't been to a meet yet so it'd be nice to see some of the cars/members in person.
That sounds like a great idea. I organized a few last year, but unfortunately, this year I had to take a job that requires me to work weekends :(
My car looks like crap this year anyways......

There has been a few this year. One of them only had two guys show up though. I only made it to one. The first Sunday of the month has always ended up being busy for alot of people this summer it seems.
Sounds good though. I will try to make it. I have to go to a corn roast the night before, so I still might be too drunk to drive at noon.. If it was a tad later I'd make it for sure.

no one goes to those Yorkdale meets cuz they are so boring :P
the meets we had last year with the cruises were alot better trust me.
and its ok if u cant make it at noon...we're usually there for a while anyways before we go cruising :)

Exactly what do you want the plan to be? Loblaws at noon? Same area as the first toronto meet? We can figure something to do from there i guess, but i really want to do a cruise again.
And see if your bass can drown out my exhaust. :p
I'd love to come but my VR-4 can't. Am I still welcome if I bring "another" car?

I think I should be able to make it.
I made it to two of the 3 meets this year. The first one was probably the best turnout (and I didn't even have my car out of storage then!).
The third was the one with me, and someone who had just found out about the meet the day before (if I recall correctly). I seem to remember you FastEddie bailing to go to Darknights and see all the ricers :D
The one thing that we DON'T want to do like last year was to have a cruise somewhere like up Yonge. Remember what a pain in the ass that was, with everyone getting split up by lights, etc.
If we are going to do that, we need a specific route to follow!
I don't want another fuckup like last year, that sucked.:mad:

Cruising down the Lakeshore might be good. Bring your FRS radio if you don't wanna get split up and I'll bring my two radios.

Yeah, the FRS's would be cool.
Still, anywhere with lights ends up being shit when we all get split up, or the other thing is that we all end up pulling over and all having to wait like a bunch of goofs ;)

Just take the 404/Dvp straight down to the end. Get off at Lakeshore and turn right. go across lakeshore until you see a Loblaws on the right(1-2 mins?) and go to the back area of the parking lot. Sounds far when you think down by the lake, but once you are on the 404, you only have to make 2 turns to get there. :)
I should be down for this. I would like to get to meet some of you guys before the season ends anyway.
I have a Wedding to go to on Sat. but should be able to make it for this . I'm only about 5-10 min away from there.:cool:

Noon might be a little early for me and some others
so lets all meet there between 12:30-1:00pm and we'll be hanging around for a while to wait for as many other as we can, or until Security kicks us out! :P

I can only stay until around 1PM probably. I have passes to go to the film festival picnic because I got some friends in the industry... and there's gonna be lots of free beer and food.

There’s a big paintball tournament (TOC). So if you want to see good competitions come up.
I play for team OS2K!

I’m driving down tonight with my team. I won’t have much time, we’ll get there around 10/11PM and we start playing at 8AM Saturday morning!

I went to the opening gala party last night. Parked my car between a Porsche Boxster and an Audi TT. Then I got out and looked around thinking "holy shit... never thought this would happen ever.. but I got the shittiest car in the parking lot!"
I'm jealous of you though... no Diablo in my parking lot.. just a Ferarri... but I heard the guy telling someone that he rented from some place here in Toronto.

I'm not sure if the Loblaws is new or not...
I think it's been there for a couple years at least
its on 10 Lower Jarvis St.
North of Queens Quay and South of Lakeshore BLVD
we'll be at the back of the parking lot

Just a couple ideas for tomorrow's cruise...
1. Head east on Lakeshore towards the beaches, stop off at Ashbridges bay and hopefully find some parking in the park and hang out for a bit there. (not sure if you have to pay for parking, if so its really cheap)
2. Head west on Lakeshore, then jump on the gardener, get off at Islington north and stop at the Movie Theater Parking lot (Islington/Queensway) for a breather and to let everyone catch up, then head off to Sherway Gardens (further west on Queensway). Both places should have lots of free parking and we can park close to the road to attract some attention :P
I guess we can discuss this tomorrow...

I don't think I'll be able to make it tomorrow :( My tranny has gotten alot worse since my trip to the track last night. I'm getting a grinding sound in all gears now and realy don't want to damage it further.

Thanks to all that came out yesterday. We had a total of 8 cars show up, The weather was amazing and It was nice checking out your rides. My gf was impressed too...and now she wants a Stealth!!! :) hehehe...
Anyways we turned alot of heads and cameras yesterday, and hopefully we can do it again maybe in early October before some of you guys put your babies to bed for the winter.
And it would be nice if we have more cars and take up two lanes this time cruising down the lakeshore :cool:

Ya.. good meet. I wish I didn't have to leave early and miss the cruising. I'll be in for an Oct meet for sure. We should do a meet at the Coffee Time in Woodbridge some night just to freak out the 50 Honda guys that are usually there.
Did any of you guys videotape the cruise?

its a tiny 4dr with a trunk and its Auto.
only has 67Km's on it!:eek:
It was nice meeting you all and I had a great time,
chatting about our cars.
I have taken 14 pictures in total with my old fashioned
camera,and I should have them developed in about a week.
The only reason why I can't have them developed sooner is:
I still have pictures left on the film and I will probably shoot them soon.
