I got my chip 2 years ago. They don't make it any more. It came from the US some where.

and if you chip it, install a hard drive too- I put a 160 gig in mine, great for games and also watching movies/tv shows...

Go to the Pacific Mall in Markham. Just ask around for where the PS2 game place is. They do the mod chip for a good price and they throw any 3 games you want included. I don't remember the price, but I remember that it was like half what some other places wanted to charge.. and these guys did it in an hour.

My only complaint with the modchip is that I have WAY too many PS2 games now. You can even download them off the net. ;)

I'm not an Xbox owner but I'm an avid PS2 guy. I would discourage anyone from getting their mods done at pacific mall or any of those chinese places. 2 of my PS2's blew up because of those hacks.

If you're good with a soldering iron I highly recommend doing it yourself, as I've been doing for the past year or so. Xbox mods are apparently quite easy to install.

Anyone looking for a PS2 modchip? I have a couple of Duo2 SE's lying around that I don't need.
