Two nights ago my headlights stopped working. The high beams and fog lights work though, but not at the same time for some reason. I checked the fuse and swapped it with the fog light one, and it still didn't work. Anyone have any ideas whats wrong? Or know anyone that would fix it without charging a million bucks?

Any help would be great...

#1, I'll say it anyways:D check & see if the bulbs work, try a multimeter or test light on the harness by the bulb to see if you have 12V there when lights are on!

You checked fuse.

after that your probaply lies in the relay(pointing to it in pic) or the switching circuit.

Check the relay and see if you have voltage on it and if the circuit for switching is working, Try too see if the relay is swapable with another just too see if it working?

juss took this pic to show ya the relay, dam havin the car in da garage 10' away from me and a digi cam is useful!! LOL

You should need a meter or a testlight to find our your prob, electrical problems can be a bitch sometimes, and your fogs shutting off when your high beams turn on is normal, it is wired like that!

BTW the little relay in the pic that you see with wiires won't be there on your car, I put that there to hook up daytime running lights to pass canadian RIV inspection

The high beam and fog lights won’t be on at the same time, it’s like that for every car!

It could be possible that the 2 low beam a burnt out!!!

just to tell warn you if it's the relay... automotive relays are expensive... quite the rip off! for a 10 cent pice of shit.

So Steve, what was the problem...the relay? I had the same problem happen to me last night as I drove home... but sometimes when i turned off the headlights and put them back on the lights would come on ,,, but eventually go off again
