Hey guys I'm trying to put together a GB with Racemode. They are a Custom shop in St. Catherens that does all kind of custom work for show cars. The owner is well Known to the DSM guys and he owns the Talon on the site http://www.racemode.com/homepage.asp . I have both the 1st and 2nd gen hoods at my house that I can have him make the mold from. I'm not too sure yet if they will use the latch or require hood pins, they'll see when they look at our hood design if it can be done easily enough. We need at least 10 people for each type of hood for this to go through. Also they can make a mold of ANY part on the car and make it out of CF, so they could also make a lightweight hatch aswell. Post here if you are interested. Thanks.

Heres a few pics of his work.

yep they can be painted :) I'm thinking about the TRD style like the pictures in the link on the 3si page here - http://www.3si.org/portal/forums/showthread.php?threadid=120765 . It wouldn't be hard to do and would look neat IMO.

I would like something look like PitRoad M CF hood, the EVO style looks pretty good on our car than the TRD style IMO
Btw, when will the group buy close?
I am still thinking about it because the past Xmas took all my money... darn it!!

LOL< Lots o' money, lots o' time and gettin someone to do it I wouldn't say will be that easy either, It would be an experimental process, and for the amount of weight savings maybe a set of seats would do the same reduction!!! Who knows!!
